He seems to be out in the woods, and the faint sound of a crackling fire can be heard in the background. Probably so he can dry off. Or attempt to, at the very least. Kid looks like he went for a swim fully clothed, which isn't too far from the truth. ]

My name is Sasuke Uchiha. Not that it means anything here, but I'm a ninja from the village hidden in the leaves. [ He sounds maaaaybe a little bit salty. Though that could just be because of the day he's having. In either case, while he knows Konoha doesn't exist here, part of him hopes he's not the only shinobi in Avalon.

He sighs. ]

Look, I'll keep this brief: I need to learn how to weaponize my healing magic. [ ... ] I'll take any leads I can get.

[ It sounds ridiculous (and it definitely is) but Sasuke has a one-track mind when it comes to most things. He's determined to get stronger, and the power of healing kind of gets in the way of that.

There's a sound from offscreen like a bird mimicking laughter. Sasuke glares in the direction of the sound. ]

Shut up. No one asked you.

( ooc: In order to verify things, Sasuke attempted to walk on water. It went poorly. Anyone is welcome to have seen the attempt! If they would have approached afterward, we can either action it out here or log! )

[ One eyebrow goes up. He looks not exactly skeptical, but like he doesn't quite see the difference. ]

There's only one thing I want, so...I guess you're right. [ A smirk. He's such a little shit. ] But I'm guessing that's not what you mean, Morgan.

[ The mention of a dojo certainly has his attention, though. ]

[Morgan shrugs.]

I have an in-depth philosophy I learned with the help of my world's best martial artist. [He might be upselling his master just a bit, but he absolutely believes that to be true.] You are welcome to judge for yourself if it gives me strength or weakness, as you see fit. I expect you're skilled yourself, after all!

[ He says it with extreme distaste. ]

Oh, don't knock it. We've gone through a ton of stuff where green magic could be very useful.

[Time will prove that, he's sure.]

[ To say he sounds sceptical would be an understatement. ]

One example. We were out on an great adventure, were camping overnight, and suddenly came under attack by ogres! Now imagine how useful it would have been to be able to tangle those ogres up in bushes, trees, vines, whatever. Would've helped a lot to just take a bunch of them out of the fight entirely.

You could get the same result with some well-placed traps and strong wire.

[ Which is his usual style of fighting, so he might be a little biased. Actually... ]

Can green magic even move plants quickly enough for that to work?

[morganknight]

Sure. If you had those prepared ahead of time. And were prepared for people to walk into them in the middle of the night.

[But the question earns a little smile.]

I don't know if yours is. Everyone develops their magic in different ways and with different proficiencies. Maybe you can whip up some natural paralytic poison for your traps or something, with yours.

That's how my campsite's set up now. Only an idiot would leave themselves defenseless.

Poison's not a bad idea, though. Get one potent enough and it won't matter how strong your opponent is. [ Generally speaking. ]

Sure, but in this scenario, we were traveling in a group. [A slight shrug, and then...] Of course, you saying that ought to tell you that other people or creatures might use poison for the exact same purposes, so it might not hurt you to learn how to treat it?

[No sense pretending he's not a little smug about turning this conversation right back to what started it, the use of healing magic for someone more concerned with harming an opponent. Smugness might annoy the kid, but Morgan figures disingenuous pretense will annoy him more.]
