[ A young teen glowers down at his screen. He's completely drenched, and his hair is plastered to his forehead and sticking up at odd angles as a result. He seems to be out in the woods, and the faint sound of a crackling fire can be heard in the background. Probably so he can dry off. Or attempt to, at the very least. Kid looks like he went for a swim fully clothed, which isn't too far from the truth. ]

My name is Sasuke Uchiha. Not that it means anything here, but I'm a ninja from the village hidden in the leaves. [ He sounds maaaaybe a little bit salty. Though that could just be because of the day he's having. In either case, while he knows Konoha doesn't exist here, part of him hopes he's not the only shinobi in Avalon.

He sighs. ]

Look, I'll keep this brief: I need to learn how to weaponize my healing magic. [ ... ] I'll take any leads I can get.

[ It sounds ridiculous (and it definitely is) but Sasuke has a one-track mind when it comes to most things. He's determined to get stronger, and the power of healing kind of gets in the way of that.

There's a sound from offscreen like a bird mimicking laughter. Sasuke glares in the direction of the sound. ]

Shut up. No one asked you.

( ooc: In order to verify things, Sasuke attempted to walk on water. It went poorly. Anyone is welcome to have seen the attempt! If they would have approached afterward, we can either action it out here or log! )

[Now that sounds more like his girlfriend's familiar. Hawk's own just gets into everything and annoys him. Seriously, who would have thought his familiar would figure out how to pick locks and use the network?] Try throwing something shiny to distract it.

[Problem is keeping them out of one's own shiny stuff. Damn birds.]

The boost is enough that it could result in knocking someone out or breaking bones. Assuming they don't dodge, put up a barrier or have their own magical ability to resist.

[ He doesn't say anything about throwing something shiny, but there's a short silence and the sound of rustling, followed by a soft thunk as something hits a nearby tree.

There's a squawk of alarm and a "You really are a little punk."

But back to the matter at hand. ]

Huh. That's a lot stronger than I was expecting, but good to know. [ ... ] Thanks.

[Hawk can't help but laugh at that. Always good to piss off annoying familiars.]

You're welcome. Don't knock healing, it's useful enough and every magic type has uses in battle. Also wouldn't be surprised if you could use healing to make yourself immune to pain or not feel the effects of exhaustion. Very useful in battle, but has its drawbacks.

It's not as useless as I first thought, I'll give you that. Compensating for the drawbacks will be a pain, though.

[ A sigh. ]

I guess I'll need to test and see what I can and can't enhance first.

Yeah, it's a huge pain. Takes time to master that shit too. If you want some help, I can do barriers with my magic and could use to test their strength.

[He'd not object to a duel either, but with his level of magic and weapon skill that's just mean to do to a newbie.]

I'll take you up on that. Training dummies can only do so much with this kind of stuff.
