Good afternoon, everyone. For those of you that I haven't already met, my name is Mitsuru Kirijo.
[ Mitsuru offers a slight bow to the camera. ]
I’ll be brief: in light of recent events, I think that it’s been made clear that more extensive preparations are necessary to prevent another tragedy like the devastation of Celliwig and Lestari. I’m far from the first person to make this observation, or to suggest that more frequent practice or better coordination would benefit us during a similar situation. What I would like to propose is a sort of informal organization to help provide the structure necessary to facilitate that. A guild of sorts, if you will.
The basic premise is to provide a framework for people to train together, assist each other with improving their magic, and find individuals to undertake quests with. This would be accomplished by the group meeting three times weekly at a sanctioned training area for a communal training session, and by the establishment of a group chat to allow members to arrange additional training sessions and find questing partners. Participation would be open to anyone interested, with the understanding that they are required to participate in at least one of these weekly training sessions.
I believe the potential benefits are fairly straightforward. Individuals looking to improve their magical abilities would have a structured environment in which to do so, and access to training partners that might offer useful insight or friendly competition to help spur further growth. Training and questing together will help familiarize us with each other’s capabilities and fighting styles, allowing us to coordinate more smoothly in the … inevitability of another crisis like the one we’ve just faced.
With the explanation out of the way, I suppose what’s left is an interest check of sorts. I’d like to know who would be interested in joining such a group, and any questions or suggestions that you all might have as to how it should be organized.
In any case, I thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Re: voice;
I agree completely, and that is, in part, what I hope this will provide.

[ Maybe she was holding back a little before, but everything is so serious now. The stakes are so high.
There's absolutely no reason to take it easy anymore. ]
My name is Minako, nice to meet you!
no subject
[ With that said, Mitsuru allows herself a small smile at the introduction. She offers another polite bow of her head, as she had during her initial message. ]
A pleasure to meet you, Minako-san. As I said before, my name is Mitsuru Kirijo.
no subject
.. or maybe it's the next part of what she's saying that gives that impression, really: ]
I think it's so cool for such a pretty girl to step forward and take charge!
no subject
Th-thank you, Minako-san ... truthfully, this was an idea that I had some time ago, and should have implimented sooner.
no subject
.. It's okay. I don't think any of us expected something this bad to happen.
[ Her voice takes on a more serious edge as she says it, though it's a warm and soft kind of serious, meant to try to be reassuring. ]
All of us were caught off guard by it. Though it's easy to feel bad about just how many people and places were destroyed because of it.. [ Because their efforts weren't enough. ]
no subject
[ Mitsuru admits with a small, mirthless chuckle. If she's being completely honest, it's been difficult to think about much else, lately ... ]
Still, however easy it might be to wallow in it, doing so accomplishes nothing. If we want to avoid another catastrophe, we need to be better prepared to face the next one.
[ And, while it might have been easy for those words to be coldly resolute, there's a certain ... confidence, to it. Faith that they can in fact do it. ]

[ It's not a total tonal shift. Sure, there's a bit of it, but even though Minako's words are certainly getting a little more dramatic, there's still a little bit of that reassuring warmth in her voice all the same.
Just like how it was there a moment ago. ]
Somehow, when you put it like that.. It makes it sound like we can really prevent the next one! Is that your special talent?
no subject
[ Mitsuru chuckles softly, shaking her head. ]
I know a few people who are far better at motivating others.
[ Nonetheless, she's flattered by that particular compliment. She ... she knows there's often a bit of distance between herself and others, so knowing that her words had achieved that effect on someone who she'd never met before?
[ It's nice. ]
It's ... experience, I suppose. My teammates and I faced down a great disaster in our own world, and though it wasn't easy, we were able to avert it in the end.
no subject
After all, Minako hasn't faced down some world-ending danger just once. It's not too surprising that there are worlds other than her own where that sort of thing could happen. ]
Were you their leader? You kind of seem like the leader-type.
no subject
I was, though I shared that responsibility with another member of my team. I directed our overall objectives and acted as facilitator, while she led us in the field.
no subject
Ahh, I think I can kind of understand why.. After all, you're using a lot of these fancy words! [ Please, Minako, you can't just.. say it like that.. ] So that means you've got to be real smart! Definitely the director type!
no subject
[ What Minkao does say, though ... perhaps she can't see the smile it coaxes out of Mitsuru, but it's audible enough in her voice. ]
Again, you flatter me, Minako-san. My family runs a prominent business conglomerate within my own world, and I invested a great deal of effort to mold myself into that "director type" so that I would be ready to inherit it.
no subject
[ There's a brief sound, more curiosity than surprise, and then Minako is already - happily - laughing again. ]
See, see, I knew it! You're totally that type! [ Minako, please stop acting like this is your own bisexual harem otome game.. ] Strict when it counts, but with a kind heart underneath.. Professional, but in a cool way! That amazing big-sister-like type that everyone loves!
[ She might be sighing. Longingly. ]
I can't believe I'm getting to meet so many amazing people here..!
no subject
[ As though she hadn't already accomplished that ... ]
Still, I can't help but agree. [ A beat, before she quickly adds. ] About the final statement. The people I've met ... they've been the high point of my time here.
no subject
Right? [ Minako would 100% agree on that. ] Sure, it kind of sucks that we were taken here against our own will, even if it's to help people out.. But at least we get to see cool places we've never seen before! And we get to meet tons of fun and nice people who we usually never would've had the chance to meet! That's a pretty great reward in my eyes.
no subject
It's all the consolation that I could have asked for.
[ Despite the privileges she'd enjoyed throughout her life, her world had been a small place. Work, obligation, duty, and little else.
[ It was ... nice. Stepping beyond that so dramatically. ]
