[Chara has been off living out on the streets of Avalon, or in the woods, since their fight with Asriel. They have replied to a few things here and there but now, they have a question of their own.

Except they don't want it attached to their name, so going anonymous and text.]

Say you have a friend, but they're not the best kind of person. Like they've admitted to having hurt people, people close to you.

Would you be willing to forgive them for such a thing? If so, why? And if not, why?

because they just wanted to see what happened

I don't get what you mean?

They'd rather their friend be happy, and they think they'd be happier without them. Doing good or bad doesn't matter.

But, didn't you say that it was hurting you that they were being selfish?

I don't think your friend could be happy without you. Whether you did good or bad things... it doesn't change that they aren't any better. That they understand.

No, that's not what I meant. I just don't see a good reason to do something good if you're only doing it for yourself.

If they understand then they'd know that it's better without me, they even said so themselves.

Some people really want to do good things to see people happy, though.

If you two care about each other, then... that can't be true. Friends... are really special to one another, aren't they?

That's fine, wanting to do it to help others is good.

Except they probably don't really care about each other, and friends can be replaced. My friend has probably made better friends here anyway.

( There's a lengthy pause then, Asriel taking a long time before he replies. He knew just a few comments in that this was Chara. It wasn't hard to figure out. He'd know his best friend anywhere. )

Frisk isn't you. No one could ever take your place.

You're special, Chara. No one could ever understand me like you do. No one could ever make me happy like you.

That's why it hurt so much when Alphys brought me back.

You say that, but we both know that's not true.

I lied to you and Frisk both as Flowey so much... I understand if you can't believe me. But, I love you, Chara. There wasn't a day that I didn't miss you.

And if you decide not to come back home... I know I won't stop missing you, either. But... I'll understand that, too.

But you said what you said as yourself, so unless you lied to Frisk then...

And you shouldn't miss me anyway.

Both of you are special to me in different ways. But... no one's ever made me happier than you. I know I said some horrible things back then. I was selfish for a really long time. All I've wanted since I came here was to make up for it all.

You'll always be my best friend, Chara. Meeting Frisk... didn't change that. Neither of us had many friends, huh? That's what made them special in their own way.

I can't, because it isn't true. You might think that you aren't the best person, but... what does that make me? I'm the worst kind of person of all.

[They want to say that yes, Asriel is their best friend as well. Their only friend really but that just sounds sad, so they won't.]
