[Chara has been off living out on the streets of Avalon, or in the woods, since their fight with Asriel. They have replied to a few things here and there but now, they have a question of their own.

Say you have a friend, but they're not the best kind of person. Like they've admitted to having hurt people, people close to you.

Would you be willing to forgive them for such a thing? If so, why? And if not, why?

Depends on what they did? I know I've said some pretty hurtful things before and my friends forgave me. Unless you mean something worse.

I'd want to understand. If they're my friend, I'd want to forgive them.

There can be a lot of different situations that causes someone to hurt someone else.

Monsters are people. I believe every one of us could become monsters, given the right set of circumstances.

Like, they're fine being a monster.

That's a very different matter. If they plan on repeating their mistakes, they ought to be stopped.

And of course, you can't forgive someone who refuses to acknowledge they did anything bad.

I'd still reach out though if I really care for them... Like, if they're a friend that means I probably saw something in them in the first place, you know?

The context is they've killed everyone you ever cared about.

If they're your friend, then you'll forgive them. If you can't, then I'm not really sure that you can call them that.

And if it was something bad enough that you can't forgive them, then it might be best to keep your distance to keep them from hurting those you care about again.

And they killed people, so how bad that is is up to you I guess?

Yeah, I mean— depending how bad. But yeah. Even family— even best friends hurt each other sometimes. Even betray each other! As long as you come through in the end and fix things, it shows you care. You're there. You won't leave them. Even if they mess everything up. Or you mess everything up! But it's gotta go both ways, y'know?
