[The broadcast begins with a shot of Darin's forge, full of various workspaces and call kinds of tools. The forge itself is burning brightly in the center of the work floor and in the back you can see a waterwheel turning and depositing water into a small channel that Darin uses to pump water throughout the forge and subsequently his home.]

[He wanders on screen and takes a seat, addressing the camera.]

So, I've been doing a lot of thinking. Shocking, I know, right? But hear me out.

I've been here for about six months and my forge has been in business for the last couple. But with all of the different ways to facilitate trade between Camelot and its neighbors, I'm a little surprised to find there isn't some sort of business or merchant guild. At least none that I've found.

Anyway, I'm doing pretty well for myself financially, what with all of the quests and my forge and I got to thinking. How many of you have business ideas that need investors? Got an idea for a shop? Maybe even a product? Let's workshop it!

If there's anything I've learned, it's that plenty of alliances can be formed through good business, and with the recent business with Celliwig and Arthur, maybe it would be good to start finding ways to extend as many olive branches as we can...

So, who's got a dream they want to try and make a reality?

Yeah, figured that could be of use to craftsmen like yourself along with potion makers. Just gotta be careful and make sure to not break the rules here about not hunting for sport. But there's people who got a taste for weird types of meat.

Yeah, I'd never look to trade in anything illegal. I want all business dealings to be on the up and up. I've seen too many business men get tempted by coin.

Same here. My home's a prison city, no one knows better than me how much one doesn't want to be stuck in one. I've been hunting for my own food since arriving here so I know how to handle those rules.

Whoa, a prison city? You never mentioned that...

...Wait, what were you doing in a prison city in the first place? Were you born there?

Balduq's just a regular city that has a massive prison, but yeah I was born here. Don't talk about it much because I realized fast my home's fucked up compared to the places everyone else lives in.

Ah, my bad. I was just surprised, I didn't mean to make it sound like I was being judgey.

Trust me, of all people, I know that the circumstances of your birth don't mean jack when it comes to who you want to be as a person.

Nah, didn't think that. It's just that it's a pain to explain shit when normal to me is weirder than this place and our technology isn't as advanced other than in alchemy.

Regardless, if you want to get a proper business going procuring monster materials for weapons and potion crafting, I'd be more than happy to endorse it.

Other than lacking crazy two headed ass dragons. [He laughs since that will always remain one of the craziest things he's ever seen.]

But yeah, I plan on getting the license when the traders show up this month. I'm sure you'll be satisfied with the quality.

Pft, screw the quality. I'm more interested in the lengths you'll go to in order to get the materials.

That's what makes it fun though. I'm the one who runs towards the giant monster everyone is running away screaming from.

...So, why do you do it? Thrill of the challenge? Or are you trying to prove something?

Fighting and learning this place's magic are the only things I've found that aren't boring. And even learning magic is more fun when there's some danger involved.

What about back home?

You can't expect me to believe you turned into a reckless lunatic the second you were dropped into the Bay here.

Speaking of, been meaning to ask. Are you self-taught? Or did someone train you?

I learned by challenging people to fights. What little training I've received is in the style the knights use, not the dual bladed style I prefer.

I guess growing up in a prison city, you need to fight to keep from being targeted. Is that about the gist?

[He laughs at that idea.] Like I'm not constantly targeted. Fighting is fun, that's all there is to it.

[Except it's pretty clear he's not telling the full story here, but it's not exactly a story he likes telling.]

[Darin can tell when someone's deflecting and he's not one to pry in this instance. Instead, he'll switch up the subject.]

You mentioned getting materials for potions as well as weapons. Do you know anyone getting a potion shop started?
