I mean, I'd also like a word with whoever thinks 'dunk everyone in a lake' is a great idea, but I'm sure I'm not the only one there.

Anyway. What do people do for money around here, because I kinda doubt my day job is gonna translate.

Beaky little bird with an Egyptian hat, of all things. Showed up with the hat, too. I'm going with ibis - it'd fit work's Egypt boner and hoarding tendencies.

Sounds kinda like one of their gods. Not sure what the name is, though, off the top of my head. I know in some cultures, Capricorn was seen as an ibis-headed guy riding a goat? Brightest stars are Scheddi, Algiedi, Dabih, and Marakk. Though mostly what comes to mind is the Pikka birds from "Hitchhiker's Guide". Don't worry, you'll figure it out. I got lucky - Shinryu was very aware of his own name.

Let's see, important things to know. There's a little place with a bunch of tent-like structures near the inn. That's where you'll want to go to try and test things out and figure out which magic you have. The best pizza delivery in the area is the Flatbread Shack. Caffeinated beverages do exist, including coffee. And the best computer store is the Shelled Bird.

I wouldn't necessarily try the energy potion variety, though. There's some weird side effects there if they're not made exactly right.

Yeah, I think we're probably here for the long haul. People do come and go, but until we help get the universe put back together I don't think it's more than being frozen back into the spot you left. It does sometimes mean you'll see different versions of the same person, though. Not at the same time, I think, but people you knew might suddenly not know you or someone might who you have no idea about. It can get kinda confusing with the mixed timelines of different versions coming in. Time travel is a mess.
