[ JJ's voice comes - well, loudly over the network. He's here, and he's excited. He's outside, if the background of trees and grass is any indication. He takes a seat on a bench, settling in and behind him is -- well, a moose. It's still pretty decently sized, even if it is small for a moose. ]

Soooo [ a hum ] - hello, Camelot! I'm JJ. And this is -- well, he doesn't have a name yet.

[ The camera flashes to three miniature eskimo dogs that he has with him. ]

And these are Charlie, Esme, and Luc. I'm working on a name for my familiar, but I figured it might be fun to ask.

So, show me pictures of your pets. Your familiars. Tell me what their names are if they have them or anything neat you want to share. It might be a little inspiration and honestly who doesn't love cute animal pics right?

[ He looks like he's about to turn off the device but then pauses - ]

Almost forgot! It's my birthday on the 15th, so in two days! So that means if you go do the hotel lobby -- there will cupcakes there. Chocolate and vanilla and maybe strawberry or something fun like that. I haven't decided on them all.

Hey JJ! I'm Junko, it's nice to meet you!

Those dogs are so cute! Here, lemme show you my familiar, hold on a sec.

[Just turning the camera around to show a huge black doggo, with embers dancing in its fur, settled underneath a tree.]

This is Fenrir, she's a good girl~

I have two cats. My familiar doesn't like the camera.

[She turns the camera around to point it at a small black cat on the floor, which pauses in the middle of cleaning one back leg to stare for a moment with large green eyes.

Then, Poison lifts the camera... up. Up to the ceiling, where something vaguely cat-shaped is wrapped around the ceiling fan. Its head is feline, with pointed ears and whiskers and what looks like dark red fur, but it has eight legs with suckers on the undersides and appears slightly... wobbly.]

[ Grins. ]

Hi Junko! Nice to meet you, too.

[ He leans into the camera as if that will help him get a better look. ]

Hi Fenrir, she looks like a good girl. Very cute, too!

[Marianne is sitting in the stables with a warhorse the size of a large dog and a robin picking at her hair.]

Hello Charlie, Esme, and Luc. Oh, and you as well, JJ.

[Can you tell what Marianne is here for?]

My familiar is named Pippin--he's this robin here--and this horse is a dear friend from home named Dorte. He's usually several hands larger than this, but he shrank when he was brought here.

I've never seen a creature like your familiar before. What is it?

[SHE LOVES HIM?????]

Woah [ He hums ] -- that's a neat looking cat, Poison!

I really like them. What's their names? If they have any.

[ The screen is taken up entirely by a very disinterested tan and white guinea pig, chewing lazily on a piece of hay. ]

This is Proserpine. Before we got here she was emergency food rations.

[ She waits a moment, as though Proserpine is going to wave, then turns the camera back around on herself.

Holding the device with one hand, she uses her other to pull back a large section of her hair, revealing a bat sleeping a little behind her right ear. The creature shifts slightly, but nothing more. She lets her hair fall. ]

And that's Cassandra, and I'm Steph. Happy birthday!

[ He doesn't seem too bothered by it because he knows why people are here. Why he's here. ]

Pippin - that's cute! And so is your horse. He seems very friendly, too.

Oh - my familiar is a moose. They're around parts of Canada, where I'm from, a lot.

They're usually a lot bigger, too. No way it'd fit in a hotel room.

[ speaking of loud... jongdae is very loud now that he's seen the three doggos. ]

OOOOOOH THEY'RE PERFECT I WOULD DIE FOR THEM.

AND THAT'S A MOOSE??? THOSE ARE REAL??? WOAH.

[ he knows damn well holding the phone close to your face doesn't mean you can see more closely but it hasn't stopped him from doing exactly that. you can probably hear the swooshy noises because he's got three excited cat tails.

BUT OKAY. breathe. he takes a second to do that and adjust his volume, apparently. ]

Okay, okay... so this is Sana. I got her as a Christmas present in the world I was in before this one and I guess it's lucky she showed up too.

[ he turns the camera around to show off a tiny, well-dressed dog sitting nearby. ]

As for my familiar... [ he laughs nervously before he backs up and pans the camera up to reveal a looming bird-like creature that seems to only have two glowing white points of light for eyes that blink almost ??? cutely ??? at the camera. ]

That's Flappy. So... yeah! And happy early birthday, by the way. I will come and eat your cupcakes for sure.

Hello, it's nice to meet you! I'm Ken Amada and it's nice to meet you! I have a dog named Koromaru and my familiar is Jack Frost! Here, let me show you!

[With that, he sends an image of his dog and a picture of a snowman]

You see them? Aren't they really cute? [Nevermind that his familiar is a mischievous little thing but still!]

Got you covered, JJ! I'm Della Duck, and this is...

[ She holds up a white bunny - that seems to be glowing a bit. ]

... Amelia! Named after my personal hero, Amelia Earhart!

( well, you'd be forgiven for thinking that the person behind this account is a woman whose forlorn expression is half-hidden by the way strands of her black hair drape over her face, the off-colour hue of her skin and the jutting of bone lending her the appearance of someone decidedly dead...

but then, from behind the camera, comes a voice JJ may remember from the feast. )

This is mine.

( the woman on screen blinks, and it's hard to tell if that phrasing offends her or not. )

You may call me the washer woman.

[Jean smiles as he brings the camera to a white husky.]

This here is me and an my fianceés husky, Snow. She came with us from a world similar to this one.

[And a bit further back there is a Lynx.] And that's my familiar, Rafael.

[Instead of Ren the video starts of with Sirius.]

Sirius is a German Shepherd. She's been with me ever since he a small puppy. I'm not sure if you remember me getting him over in Lunatia.

[Sirius is wagging his tail excitedly at least.]

My familiar is a fox fairy named Princess, but currently she's on errands. She doesn't particularly like being on camera anyway.

[Fenrir looked up as Mukuro reached over to give her familiar all the pets- and whilst the Hellhound tried to look majestic and above the whole thing, her tail was wagging furiously at the attention.]

See?? You are a good girl- yes you are~

[A little fuss, and she turned back to the camera.]

Did you get those three whilst you were here, or did they come with you? I totally wanna get a pet but don't know where to look.

That's Bat. [Again the camera goes to the black cat, which is now contorting itself in an attempt to clean its own chest with its rough pink tongue.]

The one on the ceiling is Anderson. He's... different.

Whoa! Is that your familiar?

[Darin leans into the camera.]

Your familiar didn't tell you their name either, huh? Well...here's mine.

[An enormous, intimidating looking antlion with purple runes on its back.]

I call this guy Lyon because he's an antlion.

I'm don't have pets at home, but I got them at the place I was before here. Don't they have a pet shop or something?

They're pretty amazing pets.

Hello, cuties. Anderson is really cool. I've never seen anything like him. He's like a spider-cat.

[ Hey, he can joke, too. At least he thinks it's a joke. ]

Ah - your familiar is a bat. She's really cute. I've never seen a bat up close before. People here have really neat familiars.

Yeah... I don't know that we ever would have actually done it. But that was the idea, when we got her.

But yeah! It's weird how used to having something hanging off my head I've gotten. Not to mention talking to a flying ball of fluff.

[ He sounds so totally baffled. He's confused. ]

They're in Canada pretty commonly. That's where I'm from, even. This one's even kinda small compared to ones I've seen! He even likes to be pet.

[ His voice raises. It's true, the closer he is to cute animals, the dumber he gets. ]

They are really cute! Koromaru is an adorable pup! Is Jack Frost a snowman? We have stories about Jack Frost at home. And songs, and stuff, in winter. Pretty neat that he doesn't melt or something here!

Cool. I met a bunch of animal people where I was last time. Nice to meet you, Della. And Amelia. She's pretty much perfect.

[ He's alarmed. ]

[ He's just gonna straight up ask. ]

Oh, thank you. Pippin more or less does what he wants, but Dorte is very well trained.

[She pets his mane affectionately.]

He's mostly gotten used to being so small. I hope your moose adjusts well to it, too. I imagine at full size, moose are very majestic.

You should pick a name to match. Something like... Reginald.

[She's trying her best.]
