I recently discovered a new kind of way to heal. Something really fitting to me: I can heal through singing. I even made a song to fit the occasion.

So with that in mind, have you found ways to personalize your own magic? Let's share our thoughts of different ways to improvise and improve with our magic.

Well, thanks to the Elphame Traders, I can effectively use elemental magic with my tanegashima. Though it's really only useful for battle.

well, my healing magic is a lot like the kind my friend from back home has.

though i don't have to howl to make it work...

well, yes. she's a wolfwalker and she lives with wolves too, so i guess that's just something she does when she heals people.

[Considering how wolflike Mebh already acts, Robyn wouldn't be surprised if that's true.]

I see. I've never heard of wolfwalkers before. There is a tale back home of two kids being raised by a wolf called Romulus and Remus.

The best way to "kill" the undead is to put a death hex on your weapon. Learned that trick just recently.

In some games it's healing magic that works on the undead... but I guess I shouldn't follow video game logic here. Not that I wanted to get close to any undead anyway.

Normally back home, I would’ve use a wand to perform magic, but ever since coming to Avalon, I found out that I just need to think of something and use hand gestures to assist me in casting magic, although I will admit, it is sometimes not easy to control kinetic and elemental magic at times.

So you were closer to a "classic" wizard that I have read about in books. Usually they had wands, robes and hats.

I also have kinetic magic, although it's my secondary. I can mostly pull and push objects and people.

Yeah, that’s right. We do have wands and some wizards wear hats and robes back home.

Kinetic magic happens to be my primary magic, and right now I’m mostly within an above average level with making things move around and teleporting people. I’m currently working on speed manipulation and trying not to strain myself with teleporting people.

Do you also go to school?

[He's mostly curious about how they learned magic. The books he read had apprentices and such.]

I wonder if someone like me with kinetic as their secondary could learn how to teleport. That would be fun, I feel.

I've been using more of the elemental symbols from back home to cast alchemy, it's really amazing how magic here is able to change to fit different casting styles.

Oh, that's great. The magic here seems very versatile. It's really fascinating.

I wonder if it's set up that way so there isn't as big of a learning curve for people.

I'm sure it would work great in a food fight, but yeah, not under normal circumstances.

To be honest, I haven't really noticed anything about how I use my Elemental magic. I think I can feel the energy of a certain element when I'm going to use it, but that's about it.

For other Elemental users, though, I am curious. How quickly are you able to conjure up a different element? So far I can only generate one element at a time, but I would love to learn how to use multiple elements at once.

Yes, I've definitely noticed that as well. When you're trying to use some of the more difficult elements, how do you end up generating them? Do you just concentrate on them more, or is there something else you do to finally get them to work?

Elemental magic sounds interesting. Which element comes easiest to you?

I find that I'm able to generate electricity without too much effort, while earth is the most difficult. Everything else falls between the two somewhere.
