Hello everyone, my name is Aurora and I hope you fair well this morning.

I am sure many of you have heard of Sir Claude's feast announcement, and I truly find it to be a marvelous idea!

If I may, though, I had noticed while he spoke to others, that many mentioned they did not know how to cook or bake.

Admittedly, I am no master chef but I know my way around a kitchen and several recipes well enough. If you would like, I do not mind offering assistance so you can learn how to make something a recipe home... Or at the very least, trying my best to help replicate the dish in question.

All I ask of you, in turn, is that you provide the recipe and ingredients, I shall provide the kitchen and instructions. Though, I will also happily supply one of my own recipes and ingredients as well, if you find yourself in want of ideas.

I'm created by humans in my homeworld, but I have grown to have my own will and freedom.

Thank you for the clarification, I truly would not have known. Something so advanced is not... well, possible, where I am from.

I am glad to hear you gained your own will and freedom. Is that common, androids gaining a will and freedom?

Much to the surprise of humans, yes. Almost all androids experience an "awakening" of sorts, developing self-awareness through experience around humans.

Why is it a surprise? I admit it is a surprise to me, but I am not familiar with the technology. Wouldn't those who are know such a thing is possible?

They never intended androids to be free-thinking species. They created us to be like dolls, servants to their needs who only know of one thing.

I... must admit to some confusion. They built you and other androids, and all of you achieve sentience, but you were not built to have it? How is it obtained, then?

[ceraunos]

Time around humans. We were programmed to learn based on what we see on our surroundings. Through mimicking humans, seeing the patterns in their collective behaviors, and some trial and error, it eventually grew on it's own - granting full sentience for many androids.

Of course, not every android will have such an opportunity. Some are stuck in the same place, not learning anything new...

I hope all androids have kind, good, and wise people to learn from, or at the very least, are able to discern for yourselves.
