Turns out when one is bored, doesn't feel like drawing or reading, and has a familiar that makes silk, this is the end result.

[He holds up a braid of string. The string is pearlescent, and it's crudely braided together, looking like a kid's first attempt to braid their hair or make a friendship bracelet. One can also see four very large spider legs draped over his shoulders, though the rest of the spider is hidden behind him.]

I may have discovered the future of fabrics right here.

[He tugs the string a few times, as if testing its strength.]

I'd be willing to pay. You shouldn't go without compensation for something like that, I think. Especially when it must take some resources on her part, right?

Ooooh, I can't wait to experiment with it! What kinds of properties does it have, if you know? I've only ever seen the like that comes from silkworms. Oh, but I bet it'll be gorgeous... ahhhh...!

Sil produces a few different kinds of silk. She makes the sticky kind, and she also produces a silk that isn't sticky, both of which are quite strong.

Hmm... I'd have to figure out how the sticky stuff works. It could be useful for certain things, but if it's too sticky, it'll just be a nightmare to work with.

I do a lot of crafting work in various fields, so I'd be happy to pay in either money or services, or a mix of both. No idea if you've any use for things made from her silk, but I figured I'd mention that anyway.

Well, maybe I can give you a length of the non-sticky stuff, and then if you ever want a sample of the sticky silk I can have Sil spin some for you. How about I charge you two dollars per kilogram for the silk?

[A quick conversion to ponzes-- pounds, rather, and... Oh, wow, that's actually quite a lot. Irhya looks surprised for a moment, but perhaps a spider that big really would produce that much in a short period? And it is real silk, so...]

That sounds fine. The price will add up, but it should even itself out once I have something finished in my hands.
