Hey! Hi everyone. My name's Drake Mallard. I'm kinda new here? I just got here the other month. So I thought that I'd, y'know, reach out and talk to people. All of this... magic and humans, it sure is a lot to get used to! [He says with a laugh.] But I'm managing. It helps that there's familiar faces around. I've even heard that Darkwing Duck himself is here! So with him around, at least I don't expect crime to be a problem. I just wonder if someone could find definite proof that he's here... [He makes weighing motions with his hands while going on casually.] ...like maybe take pictures, share them on social media, let people know how cool he is? That's how I'll know for sure that we're dealing with the real deal!

[He clears his throat.]

That aside! I do have a few other questions. First of all, I understand that one of the types of magic that I now possess is siphon magic. Just... drains magic right out of magical objects! I haven't really had a chance to really try it yet. Is there... somewhere I can just obtain some items I can use for it? Any Amulets 'R Us? [He chuckles.] Also, what kinds of fiction are popular here? Like in terms of action-fantasy stuff, comic books, that kinda thing! They don't make Darkwing Duck shows or comics in this world, yet, so I'm thinking of finding some kind of series to follow! [And nerd out about.]

So you call your local duck vigilante.. Duck? That's like if I called myself The Human for a superhero name.

[ Though her world's fictional superheroes are X-Ray and Vav and they're idiots, but Merc likes the pictures so she's aware of them. ]

It's not like that's his whole name! The Darkwing part is very important, that's the name-y part. It would be weird if you called yourself The Human, I guess, but not so much if you called yourself something more like... I don't know, Incredible Human or something!

Okay, it'd be like me calling myself Green-haired Human.

[ Dark.. wing... That's just a shade and a body part!! ]

No, that's - a completely different! That's not a cool-sounding name at all. It's not like his wings are literally dark, after all. He just operates under the cover of darkness!

But he would prefer the term 'costumed crimefighter', and I feel like that fits a lot more nicely myself too!

Of course! That's like a standard part of the hero life. A costume, a codename, a theme, it's the whole hero package!

Heroes in my world are just themselves. The only people with costumes and codenames are comic book characters and nerds.

[ Then again, she's talking to a duck about a duck in a costume. She's not even sure what the nerd population has managed to accomplish if this is real in some universe. ]

And one can be a hero just by being themselves. That's the kind of message Darkwing Duck would promote!

But get this. What if comic book characters were real? [That's definitely not what led to him becoming the 'real' Darkwing Duck!]

N-no it's not dorky, it's cool! Those kinds of characters are real people, and they are out there! Maybe one day you'll understand.
