Video // un; Chasseur
[The video cuts to Belgium wearing her fatigues and looking at the glass of pale ale in her hand with a thinking face. Drinking culture here seemed to be as strong as it was back home. Which made sense, given that this place was a bit like a fantasy version of England.]
I've been thinking, what is alcohol like in everyone else's home?

No problem! Question stays the same!
Monks make beer???
<3~!
They make beers, cheeses, sausages and so on! They both enjoy them and sell them to help fund their monastery, the remaining funds are given to charities or other programs.
I feel like I need to CW this and I'm mentally screaming so apologies \\ Anti-Buddhism
Christian monks are so much cooler. Konpeito, Luis Frois...
Do you know Buddhists aren't even allowed hair?
Ah, not they'll convert me. But charities... [Just laughs bitterly.] The idea of Kennyo doing something useful like that... I'm fairly certain he bans himself from alcohol. Shame too, it might make him less insane. Or at least less pent up. They don't do food either. They're supposed to transcend the need for it utterly.

[Unless, you know, you consider spending a lifetime of contemplation and prayer to be cool.]
But they make some very good alcohol and food. So there's that, and a good thing to. A person can't go very long without good food in their bellies.

Indeed. And if one has to eat, enjoying it should be of equal priority.
