Hey guys! Today's a super special day! Why? Drum roll in your heads, please... It's the adorable Alice Liddell's birthday! And we may all be stuck in a weird fantasy techno world, but that's no reason not to have celebrations as important as this! It's a free for all, super fun, cake-involved tea party! With a cake made by the lovely and talented Makoto Kino! So, keep an eye out and come on down!

[ Della moves the phone so the viewers can see the outdoor tea party! It's... a little odd, with blue and white banners all over, tea pots and cups of all different shapes, sizes, and colors, and a gigantic pile of cookies that are definitely from those cookie trees. It was clearly made by someone who's never actually been to a tea party.

But, hey! Alice is there in the background, giddily giggling over everything, her cat Basil in her arms.]

Everyone's invited, so come give Alice a lot of happy birthday wishes!

[ A pause, and then she puts the phone back to herself, whispering. ]

... Also, what do you do at tea parties? Caaaause I'm not really sure.

[And while Alice ensures Mochi has a grand time, the party has wound down but the time Miwako comes. Currently, Alice is helping stack the gifts into a cart to be taken back home.]

[ Ding-dong! Miwako has arrived at last! She's looking very cute and put-together herself today, hair neatly pulled back in two pigtails, donning a black-and-white houndstooth circle skirt made quite full with a fluffy grey petticoat, wearing a puce cardigan and pale pink knitted blouse with floral embroidery, the same color as a matching pair of mid-shin-length socks and black-and-white saddle shoes, all for a rather '50s effect and with clean mod makeup to match the look.

Miwako arrives a little later than she said she would. With her, she has a tote-bag made of a coral-colored fabric with colorful fruits printed all over it. It doesn't match her outfit, but it's very cute nevertheless. She'd run home after work to grab some extra things — gifts! In fact, she'd already had some dresses ready for Alice that were waiting to be finished up and delivered. She's smiling brightly, waiting for the door to be answered patiently. ]

[It's Mochi, Miwako's familiar, who realizes Miwako is waiting at the door as Alice is outside before she bounces back indoors and to the door to open it.]

Miss Miwako! You made it! Come in! There's still some tea and cake left, if you would like!

Oh~ Yes, please!

[ She takes her saddle shoes off at the door, bending down at the knees to scoop her rabbit up in her arms and carry it in with her. It obliges comfortably. The sun is setting. It's becoming more amicable. It's also been worn down by Alice's attention and affection and is in a good mood. ]

How was your special birthday tea party~? Delightful, I hope?

It was splendid! I even got to actually have tea! And Mr. Harry brought over even more tea! I haven't opened my gifts, though, I was going to do that at home.

Oh, how nice! Here, Miwako has more gifts for Alice~ Start with these, hehe!

[ She hands her the fruit-printed tote bag. It's light enough, its insides folded up neatly, hard to make out what they are until pulled out and examined. But when Alice does, she'll find a dress and big hair ribbons made from the same coral-colored fruit-printed fabric as the tote bag is made from. Alice will also find a frilly yellow nightgown with salmon paneling and white lace, plus matching knee-length bloomers. But the pièce de résistance is an all white, angelic, lacy dress with matching hair ribbons as well. She's even included a little pair of white socks with matching lace and heart-shaped accents to match the white dress! She took extra care with the white dress, it's clear, though all three are perfectly made enough to be sold there on the spot. But Miwako would much rather gift them to Alice. She had no idea the girl had a birthday coming up, had just neglected to give her the latest batch of clothes, but these ones are especially cute, so it's the perfect occasion. ]

Curiouser and curiouser!

[Alice knows it's not polite to open gifts in front of guests, but well, it's just her and Miwako, what harm could there be? She opened one outfit after another, her hands carefully running over each bow and each bit of lace and frill, her eyes widening with each new outfit.]

These... these are all for me?

Of course~! I wish I’d known you had a birthday coming up, but these were ready for you... I just had to touch one up after work. Sorry I was a bit late for that reason.

[ She smiles softly, tilting her head. ]

Do you like them~?

I LOVE THEM I LOVE THEM I LOVE THEM! [She hugs Miwako tightly, her arms wrapping around Miwako's waist.] THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, MISS MIWAKO!

[ She hugs Alice tightly back, blonde hair flopping over her arms as she cradles her close to her chest, grinning a grin so bright it accidentally conjures magical light sparkles about her aura. ]

Hiiiiieeee! Yay~! Alice-chan deserves nice things! Nee, nee, look— This one?

[ She leans down, holding Alice close to her with one arm affectionately and turning her round to see Miwako pull out the white, lacy dress from the collection now with her other hand. ]

This is a Happy Berry dress, too! Do you know what? When Miwako was eight years old, my Sissy gave me a dress just like this for Christmas! It was one of my prized possessions! I made the same dress for you, just like I had! I felt magic that night! And I think it's in this dress, too, naa~?

Thank you so much, Miss Miwako. It's so lovely that we have matching dresses! I wish we could be matching right now! Wouldn't that be so fun? Us in the same dress at the same time?

I really am glad you came, not just because of the dresses. Miss Miwako is one of my dearest friends here!

[ She wrinkles her nose and eyes playfully at the girl with a bright smile. ]

How about someday soon, let's go get tea and a bunch of desserts and wear our cute matching outfits together~

[ Miwako had in fact already made Alice another Happy Berry dress that Miwako has here with her in her own size, the first dress the seamstress ever made for the girl back in March ~~that we handwaved she gave to her, right lol~~, so she has already exactly an image in mind. But just as happily, Miwako would make herself a new dress to match any of the ones she's made for Alice... It could be delightful re-wearing that pure-white Western-style dress Miwako loved so much as a child, could feel like a Christmas angel once more — just full-grown now... An idea comes to mind though, which brings a literal sparkle to her eye. ]

Nee, and you know— maybe our clothes don't match tonight... But we still could play dress-up to match! Can Miwako put magic in your hair, Alice-chan?

[ She slips her hands under the length of Alice's long blonde hair to flip it out playfully, splaying the golden locks across the girls shoulders in admiration with a subtle golden sparkle shimmering around it like an aura, which disappears slowly, like a sudden, dissipating glitter. ]

Magic in my hair? [She brightened up.] I've never had magic in my hair, what will you do?

[She tried to reach up to touch Miwako's hands, trying to see what she was doing.] We could both have magic in our hair when we go get tea and desserts!

Hehe, look~

[ She leans back a little and holds out one of her long pink pigtails with one hand, then runs the fingers of her other hand through its length. As they glide through, there is still that subtle shimmer around their touch, and in their wake, they leave a trail of color, transforming her pink locks into a brilliant blue. She gives it another stroke, and the hair becomes purple, like the petals of lavender. And after a final glide, a shimmering, silvery white. Her other pigtail remains pink, as does the rest of her hair. She's clearly played with this a lot, though... ]

Oh! Oh, this is lovely! This is your light magic? I haven't seen anyone with light magic use it like this! Thank you, Miss Miwako!

You're incredible! You can do so many amazing things! I wish I could do as something as nice for you.

Naa, Miwako doesn't wanna use her powers to fight... I can't do all that light barrier stuff. I just wanna make lovely things and add beauty to the world. No matter where I am.

[ Having demonstrated on her own hair, she leans back again, arranging Alice so that she's between Miwako's legs and runs her hands a few times through the length of her long blonde hair from the scalp to the tips, leaving a wake of pastel pink behind every strand her fingers combed, a pale but vibrant color to match Miwako's own. She spreads the magic so that it reaches Alice's bangs and turns her whole head of hair pink. Then she flips the locks over the front of Alice's shoulders so she can see, grasping the girl gently from behind when she's done. ]

Heh, kawaii~ Would you like another color? Or more colors...?

I don't want to fight either, I don't think I would be very good at it. I can't make lovely things, though, well, I can, I can make plants, but I wish I could help more with my powers.

[The small frown that Alice has with the topic in place is changed, rather instantly, when Miwako asks the next question.]

More colors, please!

[ Miwako chuckles and obliges, running her fingers through half the girl's now-pink hair with one hand, leaving strands of pastel blue in the wake of her fingertips, then goes through once more, leaving more violet stains. She flips Alice's hair over her shoulder again and copies the style on the other side, taking her time to play with her hair because, well... it feels nice to have one's hair played with! ]

Hehe, how's this~

[Alice closes her eyes in content as Miwako cards through her hair. There is something so terribly soothing about the whole thing, and in a way, it reminds her of when her big sister would brush her hair for her at home. She feels, in the pit of her stomach, some regret and loss, but tries her best to focus on the gentle kindness and friendship Miwako is extending. She cannot focus on her sadness, it's her birthday.

Even if it is her first time spending it without her family.

She is, for the moment, distracted and the loss does not overwhelm her because Miwako's hands are gentle and the magic tingles just a little bit and it refocuses her thoughts, especially when Miwako speaks.]

My favorite colors! How did you know? I love it I love it!
