Hey guys! Today's a super special day! Why? Drum roll in your heads, please... It's the adorable Alice Liddell's birthday! And we may all be stuck in a weird fantasy techno world, but that's no reason not to have celebrations as important as this! It's a free for all, super fun, cake-involved tea party! With a cake made by the lovely and talented Makoto Kino! So, keep an eye out and come on down!
((OOC: feel free to jump right into action and tag around!))
[ Della moves the phone so the viewers can see the outdoor tea party! It's... a little odd, with blue and white banners all over, tea pots and cups of all different shapes, sizes, and colors, and a gigantic pile of cookies that are definitely from those cookie trees. It was clearly made by someone who's never actually been to a tea party.
But, hey! Alice is there in the background, giddily giggling over everything, her cat Basil in her arms.]

Everyone's invited, so come give Alice a lot of happy birthday wishes!
[ A pause, and then she puts the phone back to herself, whispering. ]
... Also, what do you do at tea parties? Caaaause I'm not really sure.
((OOC: feel free to jump right into action and tag around!))

[Is it uncool for a not-dad to crash a birthday party...]
Anyway, I'm pretty sure you just drink tea and eat cake and hang out? Although if there's any rules, I bet Alice will tell you. [She is very well-mannered, after all.]

But, really, that's it? It sounds more like a fancy lunch than a party.

[Parties are rowdy, tea ceremonies are for POLITICS.]
[Oh, but it's a birthday party as well.]
I can only tell you how it's done in my time in Japan. I'm actually looking forward to seeing how it evolved.
You have the sweets down at least. [Listen, THAT'S THE BEST AND MOST IMPORTANT PART! (Second is the tea itself!) -- Third is the utensils. Which Nobunaga apparently deemed more important than castles and land.] Do you know the pottery and ceramics of this realm works? Well, no matter, you seem adequately prepared.
What would be an appropriate birthday gift? [Since, tea, sweets, and teaware seems redundant, but WHO KNOWS?]

Oh! A tea party sounds like a brilliant idea. Basically people talk, eat snacks (sweet and savoury) and scones, and drink tea. It’s a very common thing to attend back in England.

Action (Late with Cakebucks?)
[Makoto just looks up from where she's adjusting how the cake- a pineapple strawberry cake, as promised- is set on the table.]
You're asking this now? Della-san, I could've told you.
[She's a teenage girl from the 90s, after all!]
