Hello this is Doppo Kannonzaka, I'm sorry for bothering everyone
but I have a problem with my familiar, its very scary to people who doesn't know it's a familiar
it's a bake-kujira which is the skeletal ghost of a murdered whale

[He's then sharing a video clip of a demonic looking skeleton of a whale that for the most part was the size of a large dog and seemed to be floating around peacefully. The camera was shaky due to Doppo holding it, giving it that found footage feel, especially as it turned its glowing eyes on him and let out a ghastly wail.

It then turn and swam right for the camera, eventually passing right through it as Doppo shuts it off.]

I um its actually not too mean unless you don't like having dead fish thrown at you its just been hovering a lot since I got stabbed
Does anyone have any ideas how to make it less scary or a good name for a whale
it's going to follow me around

i'm sorry my familiar is so scary i dont know what to do
im doomed to never have friends

I think they might be lonely because they definitely scared me when I first met them (and they are little shocking when you first meet them 😱) but maybe they just want to be able to reach out and talk! Or whatever whales do! 🥰 I don't think they want to hurt you? They did ask us here to help so I think if you let it know how you're feeling then maybe you can reach an understanding! 🐋🤝🧑🏻‍🦰

i was scared at first too i didn't want a skeleton zombie following me around

Honestly having met your familiar in person I feel like it shouldn't be too difficult to get along with it? It's just... you know. It being a ghost and looking the way it does.

Sorry, I wish I could help out more but I'm not very good with ghosts or scary things at all so that's part of the issue for me and I imagine other people might feel that way too.

Have you tried dressing it up? Sticking it in a dress or tying a ribbon around its dorsal would probably help.

Err... have you considered giving it a top hat? Or teaching it to do party tricks? Those might make it a little less scary? As for a name... how about Bony? Or Bonykins? If you give it a name that makes you sound especially fond of it, maybe it'll be less scary that way?

i mean its a ghost so it's a bit impossible to dress it up

well first of all a whale is a mammal, not a fish
the biology is completely different
whales generally need to breathe air and have live young

this one is kind of
dead.
