Hello!

[Aerith is bright and cheerful, which seems to be the norm for her. She offers a wave, wearing a smile, her drake coiled around her ponytail and the pretty hair piece tucked into it.]

Not long after I arrived, I had this thought to open a flower shop. I haven't yet, but I have some flowers that are kind of taking over my apartment. I got these a bit ago, so some of them are younger than others, but they're all pretty hardy.

[Her camera pans over to a counter that's housing no shortage of pots with lily of the valley, larkspur, and primrose plants in a variety of colours.

Afterwards, she leans onto her counter and dips her head as she eyes her device, coming back into view.]

So I guess what I'm saying is that if you like flowers or you want something to spruce your home up, I'm happy to give you some of mine. If you don't know how to take care of them, I can help walk you through that, too. Or if you just want to come take a look at them, that'd be okay, too.

[After a pause, she continues.] Also, if you didn't know, larkspurs— [She points to the ones that stand tall with the colourful petals.] —are a favourite with King Arthur. Just in case you feel like getting on his good side.

Roses can be a little tricky, but...

[After a pause, she settles her chin in the palm of her hand.] Think about it like this. Plants are just as much living as you and me. They have feelings and thoughts. So you should treat them a little the way you'd treat a person. Talk to them. Treat them carefully. Make sure they get food and water. It sounds complicated, but it's really not.

[Then she smiles before she continues.] But if roses are your interest, I'll see if I can get some of those and succulents on my next market trip.

[....sorry, Aerith. He has a few issues. That was rude, though. He shouldn't just leave a mean message like that to the kind woman who was helping him and talking about plants. She was too good for that.]

I don't think they mind what you're talking about, honestly. They just like the companionship. Besides, it's better to vent than it is to keep it on the inside.

[She can't help smiling apologetically. Is she making him nervous? She can't tell why he's so quick to put himself down or to fret. It's just her, after all. No reason to be anxious around her.]

It's not really out of the way for me. Since I like flowers it's more like a fun pastime. I don't see it as work. If you change your mind, you're always welcome to visit the ones I have!

[It wasn't Aerith's fault; pretty much everything made Doppo nervous, especially the idea of burdening other people with his existance. But he knew what Jakurai would tell him, she was being nice, and well...he really did want plants to grow.]

If the person you're interested in likes flowers, it might not really matter which you pick. Different flowers and colours of flowers can mean different things, though, so maybe you want something with meaning?

[Thumbing at her chin, she eyes her collection, wondering which ones might be most suited for what he's looking for. Flowers to ask someone out. On a date, she assumes.

As she continues, she points out her various ones for him.]

White larkspurs might suit the occasion. Under primroses... reds, yellows, pinks, or oranges would work... You could always have a couple of them for variation.

[Unfortunately he was pretty sure he did depress them-at least the ones who yelled at him for looking too down in the dumps did-but he had to focus. The idea of asking Hifumi out filled him with a different kind of nervousness.]

Yellows and oranges could use that, too. I thought something a little more lighthearted would probably be good for your situation.

[Which was precisely why she didn't offer anything overly romantic. A good call on her part, though to be honest Aerith wasn't the most romantic person intentionally and more often than not tried to avoid getting too involved with such things.

Hopefully no one would come to her for advice of that nature.]

I agree that the yellow might be the best option. It's cheerful, sunny, radiant. A good 'happy' colour.

That's up to you. You're welcome to drop by my apartment to pick out your primrose, or I can bring it to you. In the future, hopefully I'll have a more proper delivery service for some added convenience, but this is the first time I made an offer like this.
