Hello!
[Aerith is bright and cheerful, which seems to be the norm for her. She offers a wave, wearing a smile, her drake coiled around her ponytail and the pretty hair piece tucked into it.]
Not long after I arrived, I had this thought to open a flower shop. I haven't yet, but I have some flowers that are kind of taking over my apartment. I got these a bit ago, so some of them are younger than others, but they're all pretty hardy.
[Her camera pans over to a counter that's housing no shortage of pots with lily of the valley, larkspur, and primrose plants in a variety of colours.
Afterwards, she leans onto her counter and dips her head as she eyes her device, coming back into view.]
So I guess what I'm saying is that if you like flowers or you want something to spruce your home up, I'm happy to give you some of mine. If you don't know how to take care of them, I can help walk you through that, too. Or if you just want to come take a look at them, that'd be okay, too.
[After a pause, she continues.] Also, if you didn't know, larkspurs— [She points to the ones that stand tall with the colourful petals.] —are a favourite with King Arthur. Just in case you feel like getting on his good side.

It's funny because I know exactly where that is in the story.
[Aerith thumbs at her chin thoughtfully. That can say a lot about someone. Roses appear so delicate, so demure on the outside and beneath all of that beauty are the thorns. Maybe Makoto's a bit like a rose herself.]
Is there a reason roses in particular?
RIP Makoto/Asanuma T-T
Well, lots of them, really. I've always been kind of a romantic, and then when I started seriously gardening I found out just how MANY cultivars there are, and they're so fascinating. [A soft laugh.] A lot of people tend to be surprised when they first meet me, since I tend to be tall and strong.
[So more the thorny bush wishing to be seen for the flowers...]
But sasanqua camellias are just as much of a favorite for me. You know about them?
[Her feelings for Nichougi-sempai are only JUST now starting to fade, but it's a still a beautiful flower.
RIPPERONI
I'm not familiar with camellias. Back home, the flowers I was around the most were lilies. I knew of some others, but it was a little hard to get much to grow. You'll have to explain camellias to me.

[Dang this girl is cool. She has a calm, refined air almost like Michiru.]
Okay so... camellias are an evergreen plant from home. There are a ton of different species, from decent-sized bushes to massive trees, like twenty meters tall. If you've ever had tea, it's usually made from the leaves of Camellia sinesis.
And the flowers bloom from fall to spring, and they can be any shade between white and red you can think of! And sasanquas have these huge blossoms in bright red or deep pink. Think... think big, sturdy sweetbriar blossoms for the shape, although camellia flowers can have a LOT of different petal patterns.

I definitely haven't seen them, but they sound beautiful. Are you going to try to grow something like that here? It might take a while, but I'd love to see them if I could. Or maybe Camelot has something similar, if not the same thing. I'm still learning about the plants that are here. I doubt I've discovered them all.
no subject
No kidding. I haven't seen a lot of these flowers in the wild either, since I live in the city, and there are so many! I definitely want to try growing more here, especially since the equinox party gave me Green magic.
[The Uta no Moon Kiss house might or might not end up flooded with flowers.]

[Aerith taps at her chin thoughtfully.] You mean you were given magic to make plants grow more? Or better?
[If that's the case, Makoto would probably be the better to start that so-called flower shop Aerith's been keen on doing.]
no subject
Ah, both? So I can make plants grow more quickly, but that the ball job fair thing there was this contest for increasing the spiciness of chilis? And I could reverse it too.
[Alas, Makoto just got here and is trying to settle in, and has a pretty busy job cooking and waiting at housemate Ren’s new karaoke bar. But she also wouldn’t mind helping out or frequenting patronizing Aerith’s flower shop when it comes about.]

You know the gardening that the locals were trying to do when spring began here? I bet they could really use your help with that. If you weren't already helping them, I mean.
[She doesn't remember seeing Makoto when she was lending a hand, but truth be told, Aerith spent most of her time over by the stables.]

Like with the farm planting, and the moon gardens to summon the frost fairies? Yeah, those have been really fun so far!
[And the flower crowns with the dragons as well. Alas, anything earlier than that, Mako likely wasn't present for.]
Still, the fact that you're able to do this on your own is really impressive, I'm serious!
[She says as if she can't do that either. But really, she is impressed with Aerith's gardening skills, magic or no magic.]

I think I like the challenge. Although I can see a lot of use in bypassing some of the obstacles to get there. I'd love to get a look at any of the plants you grow here, if you don't mind. I'm sure I could learn a thing or two from you.

Feeling's definitely mutual. Speaking of which, are any of the primroses spoken for yet?

Awesome! How about some pink ones then? Thanks a lot--
2/2
... Ahaha, sorry. Realize I haven't introduced myself yet. I'm Makoto.

I'm Aerith. It's nice to meet you. You said you wanted pink ones, right? I'll put them together and package them nicely and you can let me know how you'd like to receive them.
no subject
That's sounds great! I can pick them up if you don't mind, though. And what kind of desserts do you like?
no subject
As for... [Aerith has to think on that. Food back home is kind of... Well. Humble, really. Desserts aren't exactly a thing she gets to eat very often. And it's not like she's particularly accustomed to the idea of luxury.]
...That's a good question. I'm not sure I really have an answer for you. I guess I like cake? I haven't had many desserts.
no subject
Cake it is! Does chocolate work, or would you like something lighter?

Nah, it wouldn't be out of my way at all! Gimme an hour or two and I'll swing by, okay?
