Hello!

[Aerith is bright and cheerful, which seems to be the norm for her. She offers a wave, wearing a smile, her drake coiled around her ponytail and the pretty hair piece tucked into it.]

Not long after I arrived, I had this thought to open a flower shop. I haven't yet, but I have some flowers that are kind of taking over my apartment. I got these a bit ago, so some of them are younger than others, but they're all pretty hardy.

[Her camera pans over to a counter that's housing no shortage of pots with lily of the valley, larkspur, and primrose plants in a variety of colours.

Afterwards, she leans onto her counter and dips her head as she eyes her device, coming back into view.]

So I guess what I'm saying is that if you like flowers or you want something to spruce your home up, I'm happy to give you some of mine. If you don't know how to take care of them, I can help walk you through that, too. Or if you just want to come take a look at them, that'd be okay, too.

[After a pause, she continues.] Also, if you didn't know, larkspurs— [She points to the ones that stand tall with the colourful petals.] —are a favourite with King Arthur. Just in case you feel like getting on his good side.

[Her knight. What a peculiar way of speaking. Sounds archaic. Just like someone else she knows in Camelot.]

You're both welcome to come take a peek at them whenever you'd like. Even if I'm not here, it's pretty much set up to be pretty open. Might have a friend you'll take by surprise, though, so I should let her know that people can take a look when they want.

[ If only she knew it was pretty literal. ]

I would not wish to be a bother. I would make an appointment, of course.

An appointment?

[Aerith laughs. What a thing to say. Even that sounds the way Somnus would put it.]

I guess you could do that, too! I've never really been the sort for appointments, but I'll try anything once.

O-oh... [ Aerith's reaction just drives up Agrias' nerves, sadly. ]

Would that also not be appropriate? I do not mean to be unusual, either...

I mean, no one else has asked me for an appointment. You make it sound a bit fancy! I could see an appointment needing to be made for seeing someone like King Arthur, but I'm no king or queen or anything like that.

[She taps at her chin thoughtfully.] I think it just caught me by surprise.

Tis your home, and thusly should be given respect deserved. Even one such as I should show that respect, regardless of my station or yours.

[ "One such as I" implied quite a bit, in the way she said it. ]

I agree with that. I think it just sounded archaic.

[That's the word.] Made me think of someone else I know here who probably would have said something like that.

[ "Archaic". That word didn't really make her feel any better, her embarrassment just becoming more pronounced. ]

Even so, I... I know no other way to be, milady...

Nothing wrong with being yourself! So just be yourself.

[It's really that simple. At least, so it is in Aerith's mind. She can't be anything or anyone other than herself. Why should anyone else feel differently?]

So you are... not bothered? Offended in any way? [ God she was just all nerves. ]

I think you should stop worrying so much about what other people are thinking. We're not all going to be here forever and most of us probably aren't coming home with you, so what the rest of us think doesn't matter so much.

[At least, not in comparison to what she thinks of herself.]

... Tis not so simple as all that, I fear. [ A long, tired sigh. ]

In such state my mind is in, I find myself prone to anxious worries more often than not. Even if they are irrational.

It's always easier said than done, but you have to start somewhere if you want the change to happen.

[ Well this was getting a little heavy... She'd had enough heavy, for a bit, sucking in a breath and shaking her head. ]

H-have you a favorite flower?

Hm... [Aerith thumbs at her chin in thought.] That's a difficult question to answer. I think I like lilies a lot, but that just might be because there's so many of them back home. I'm kind of surrounded by them there, so I think I might be partial to them.

[ A small, fragile smile. ]

I... have always loved lilies, as well. All sorts, really. Red spider lilies have been a particular favorite of mine... there is but one river in all of Ivalice they grow near.

For all of us to come from different worlds, it's still something of a surprise every time I hear that some of us have some similarities. Makes me wonder if we're all connected in some way.

[Not unlike how everyone is connected back home. It's just that there, most people don't know that.]
