I am...Nigihayami Kohakunushi, but you may call me Kohaku or Haku. ( The voice belongs to a boy who looks like he is no older than twelve. His expression is impassive, the grey-green of his eyes as difficult to read as murky water.

They're not kind, and they don't take mercy on anyone. They think humans are slaves and not... whatever gods think people are to them.
