The chunk of golden-colored hair that's currently being held in her fist instead of sitting on her head, is what. What's more, Yang looks absolutely pissed.]

Excuse me... [She seethes through gritted teeth] But does anyone know who has a bug familiar with scissors for hands? I'd like to have words with them.

[She takes a deep breath, and then tries to speak more calmly.]

Also, is there anyone out there that can... [she motions to her hair situation] ...help me even this out? I'm new and not sure if there are any hairstylists in this city I can trust just yet.

[Note that there is now a fiery crater in the middle of a street somewhere.]

[Yang nods.] It's good having Ruby here, too. And also our friend Weiss. There's... a member of our team missing, though.

[Yang appears to get a little bit sad at the mention of their fourth member's absence.]

[Huh, well that's definitely a shift in mood.]

Yeah? What are they like?

[Yang raises an eyebrow.]

You mean Blake?

[She... actually smiles, before continuing.]

Oh... she's the best. We've been partners for a couple years, now. We split up, once, but we found our way back to each other again. I'm... I'm always better with her at my side. She's really important to me.

[That sure is a way to describe your "best friend", Yang.]

[... Yeah no, she knows that look, and that speech. Heck, at this point she's reading the subtext as straight text. But she thinks it's super sweet, and the warm smile is very sincere.]

It sounds like you really love her.

[Yang sits up straight, eyes wide, turning an uncommon shade of red for her to be.]

I-I mean! That is-! We're not, uhm, together or anything...!

[Mako lets her stammer for a few seconds before chuckling and patting Yang on the shoulder.]

It's okay; I have a couple of girl friends at home who are together like that. [Much as the 90s dub tries to say otherwise.] I'm guessing Blake doesn't know yet?

[Yang blushes even deeper, before finally looking away.]

I'm going to be honest. I don't know what we are. Since we reunited, we've been going from one fight to another. But...

I do. Care a lot about her. In that way. As for whether she knows, she's always been hard to read.

It's okay. Confessing your feelings is hard.

[She says as if she's not three years younger than Yang and has only done so the one time.]

Still... even if she turns you down, you don't have as much to lose as you think. You still have Ruby and Weiss, and hopefully Blake's friendship, right?

[Because she didn't have the girls before she confessed, and it HAD felt like the end of the world. But now she knows she has her soul sisters, her senshi-in-arms, a bond that'll last longer than any heartbreak from any crush.]

Oh, I don't think it'll ruin our friendship or anything. Our partnership already survived something difficult, I'm sure it'd survive this. And of course I'll always have Ruby and Weiss.

Yeah, there you go!

[... And then a wry smirk.]

So if she ever comes here, you can probably tell her, right? This place seems pretty chill.

[Yang blinks a few times, before laughing nervously.]

I'm not sure. That might be kind of awkward, you know? It'd be like... "By the way, time is frozen in our home world, and by the way, I have feelings for you and all."

Pfft, yeah, fair I guess. [A shrug of her shoulders.] Just seems like as good a time as any. Then again, it's not like I've really had a relationship before.

It's alright. I'll figure out how to tell her, at the right time, and my own way.

... Wasn't this going to be about my hair?

Oh right! Haha, I mean... aren't you supposed to vent about stuff like that while getting your hair done?
