For a being that has existed many a millenia, what would be information most pertinent to their enjoyment of a... modernized life?

[ Yeah this absolutely has nothing to do with him. He's not 6,000 years old and still doesn't understand how to use the microwave in his inn room, nope. ]

I guess if you're not used to it, it can be pretty unusual. No big deal. This should be fine.

There is much in this land that has become quite unusual to myself, I'm afraid. These smartphones, are their functions relatively simple to understand and learn? I only know you can speak through them to communicate with others and that you can take photographs.

I guess it'd depend on what kind of tech you're already familiar with. I can't imagine coming from a point where stuff like this isn't commonplace, so I'm not really the best source on this kinda thing. But they can do loads of other stuff, it just depends on what applications you use.
