[Robyn has fiddled around with her phone for the past few days, and she's gradually figured out a few ways she can use it. Having done so, she decides to go to the network for advice. It still feels pretty weird to be so open about what she's going to ask.]
to anyone who has animal magic...can you already use it to turn into animals? i can't do it the way i did it back home, so i've tried other ways, but it doesn't work for me yet. does anyone have any advice?
another question. does anyone here know much about wolves? i
[She's hit enter by accident before she can finish her sentence, since she's a little nervous about admitting this where anyone could read it, even if everyone here has magical abilities.]
i already know a few things about being one, but i still want to learn more about them, if i can.
[There, she did it. And no, her username isn't very creative.]

But then again, I must admit, my knowledge of the country is limited. All I know is that England in the past almost ruled the world once.

[Before they also needed to be cut down for more farmland.]
people say that a lot, that we can rule over the world and that other lands need to be tamed. but i don't know if we really should.

Isn't that what all video games and movies keep telling people anyway?
[Just saying!]

[She's still getting used to the technology here, and some people use a lot of words she doesn't understand.]

[Hmmmmm....]
Then what do you do for fun? I'm surprised you don't know what video games are! I'm assuming you don't know what television or cellphones are either?
[Because if she's someone who lived in the forest and deals with wolves? He can't help but be a little curious.]

i like to read books when i can get them. back in england i'd play games outside with my friends all the time. tag, hopscotch, london bridge, leap frog, those kinds of games. and when i wasn't with my friends, i'd help my father hunt for food.
[She misses those days. She had a lot more freedom then, before she and her father had to move.]
Sorry for the late replies!
Yes they are but would it be wrong to assume you're from the past? It is a little odd to hear someone who has to hunt for food.
Back home, I never had to worry about that as there was plenty to go around.

my father's a hunter, so of course we had to hunt for food. he sold some meat and furs so we can have money, but we kept most of it for us.

I see. That’s something from the past for me as I’m from the year 2012!
Let’s just say it’s very very different in the future as we don’t need to worry about hunting or finding fur.

that seems so far away. i can't even imagine what that must be like.
how do you get all your food, then?
[Robyn's bought food before, of course, but she's still used to living off the land.]

And sometimes you can even order what you want through a machine!
no subject
[She's familiar with markets, and she already knows you can order food from inns since they serve it there, but...]
how can a machine give you food, though?
no subject
All they just have to do is cook it?
[Granted, he has yet to see a machine that would cook a steak but it gets the point across right??]

[She knows what those are, at least. She's helped with baking bread in the scullery, which would have been fun if she hadn't been forced to do other boring chores there.]

If they can make fried potatoes in vending machines, anything is possible! We even have one for umbrellas too.
[Which makes him a little worried about the future now that he thinks about it!]
no subject
[She's not sure what he means by umbrellas, though, since in her time those won't even be introduced in England until around 1700.]
no subject
[Although, on that note?]
Have you ever had French fries before?
no subject
[All she knows is that the upper classes in France supposedly eat a lot of fancy stuff.]
no subject
[Because ow that he knows about Italian food? He wants everyone else to try it too!]

[She has noticed that they sell a lot of strange-looking foods here.]
You good with wrapping this up?
[That and yay for making new friends!]
sure!
[New friends are always welcome.]
