What are the news on the person that deceived multiple people into rushing to the forest and getting stuck in time loops? I would like to introduce him to the story of "The boy who cried WOLF"

Cognitive magic, from what I have gathered
Telepathy is just the beginning
From the books I came across, some capabilities of it can be quite dangerous
It needs a lot of concentration, however

That does make it sound rare
And very dangerous, in the wrong hands.
But in the right hands? It sounds like an extremely useful branch of magic for our cause.

Very dangerous. I do not know the extent of this magic, but if it can manipulate others, we ought to be ready. I am probably not the only one with them and we need to figure out a way to defend against them.

Yes, I will be sending a message to you. I doubt that you can respond back but it would be a start. It would help with sharing information without me having to talk and expose it in front of other people

Which means that we need to figure out a way to build some kind of resistance to such manipulation, or at least work out what the early warning signs may be.

A message via thought is doable. I am fine with that.
And I agree; it would be most helpful to spread information among our group without alerting any potential foes.

Exactly. And since I have such powers, I believe it would be good if I start practicing early.

If you'd like to help me practice we can meet on training grounds.
We could spar and then train our magic skills. What are you proficient in, Marshal?

I wouldn't mind that at all. I can schedule our sessions around those I have for his Majesty.

It's the Elements, though lightning seems to come a little easier than the others. I suspect that it might be due to my familiar being capable of producing electricity herself.

Splendid. You can reach me over this device or find me in meditation areas or a library. They are quieter and it is easier to focus.

I was wondering if I would have elemental magic as I did back home, but it appears I do not have it. And speaking of familiars- if you see a wandering Tonberry, it belongs to me. Please don't attack it.

Meditation areas? That sounds like it'd be useful for more than just honing your kind of magic.

[Cor's typical style does require immense focus and clarity, after all, so being able to meditate in a dedicated area seems like a boon for the Marshal.]

Pity that you don't. I wonder, though, if you can pick it back up at a later point.

Just don't be spooked about a dog-sized couerl runninf around, either. That my familar - an oversized house cat so far.

Yes. They are a bit off to the side, secluded. Easy to miss, but peaceful for training something you need to focus for.

Perhaps. Who knows to which length the magic of this place goes. But I do have my daggers with me so I feel secure.

Yes. I was very surprised to see it. Still a very tough creature. He doesn't seem to do much , he didn't attack anyone in my company.

A coeurl? It seems that creatures from our world followed us here.

At least this place has been accommodating enough to let us keep our main weapons. It does make me wonder, however, as to what kind of foes we will eventually have to face.

A real familiar, then. I shudder to think what would've happen if it wasn't.

Apparently. His Majesty seems to have a gods-damn Quetzalcoatl for a winged familiar, so I wonder if other folks have the same kind of familiar from their worlds as well.

We have to be prepared for anything. With the types of daemons we fought back home, we have a bit of an advantage, but it is not a reason to relax.

If you wish I can borrow you my elemental daggers, to train to imbue magic into them. I don't want to sound presumptuous to say I can train you, but I was proficient in elemancy.

Yes, it is. I think can pull some of my fighting abilities from him.
Quetzalcoatl? Impressive, really.
