There are plenty of way to test our abilities. Fake tasks in the potentially very dangerous forest is not appropriate way, as we had just arrived

I'm not injured. Actually, I just played a game and was getting ready for the finals.

I play basketball. Sometimes practice can get intense, but it's nothing new. I can still help out if needed.

Thankfully I encountered no dangers in the forest other than some angry bugs.
However what you propose sounds perfectly fine as long as you warn me beforehand. Since you're asking, I assume you aren't the type of person to try and take anyone by surprise. Then we might have an issue.

The forest was littered with visual traps and puzzles. Be wary if you wander again there, you might end up going in circles for hours. You can send me a message if you are stuck, I will gladly come to help you.

That aside, yes, I wouldn't do anything without your approval first. And it shouldn't cause any pain either, as I will just attempt to send you a message without using my voice.

We can meet up in the meditation gardens in the training area. It is relatively quiet there and it is easier to focus.

If he's well behaved, I do not see why not. I'd like to be able to concentrate so if he can keep calm or play around in the garden by himself, it is quite alright

Indeed, it wasn't too much longer before Kuroko arrived at the training grounds with both his puppy and his large hellhound familiar in tow. Thankfully Nigou was in his arms, so when he finally walked up to a man he was hoping was the right guy, he could bow properly.
