Travel is good for the soul, I hear.

But why?

When I was only twelve I was bestowed by the good grace of my sire an education in a delightful city thousands of miles from home. Dare I have a pleasant outing, you ask? The majesty of the finest library in the world seldom shielded me from the opposite of being in heaven; nursing frostbitten fingers and sleeping alone in the dark.

No, travel is the most dreadful punishment. For the fiercest soul is made to pine for the comforts of home. Where one is free to laugh and stroll amongst friends.

… I miss mine dearly.

Forgive me for occupying your valuable time with my musing but I must ask:

Do any of you pine for your world left behind? Is home something you miss?

That is true.

And while I can only speak for myself, I will say that I do not mind a bit of rudeness. I am used to it and even appreciate a little honesty.

It is a rare soul who perceives honesty in audacity. If only more could see the same the world would be a simpler place...

Well it is hardly enjoyable to be on the receiving end of such, so it's understandable that most would prefer to avoid the difficult through the veil of manners. And honestly I am a more passive sort of person.

But brute force is more necessary at times and one can usually live through it.

But sometimes I act more impulsively than I would like. Often when it is least convenient to me.

That is the nature of humanity. To make mistakes. You ought not worry.

No, I probably should not. Otherwise it becomes petrifying. And it holds one back.
