But why?

When I was only twelve I was bestowed by the good grace of my sire an education in a delightful city thousands of miles from home. Dare I have a pleasant outing, you ask? The majesty of the finest library in the world seldom shielded me from the opposite of being in heaven; nursing frostbitten fingers and sleeping alone in the dark.

No, travel is the most dreadful punishment. For the fiercest soul is made to pine for the comforts of home. Where one is free to laugh and stroll amongst friends.

… I miss mine dearly.

Forgive me for occupying your valuable time with my musing but I must ask:

Do any of you pine for your world left behind? Is home something you miss?

I'm surprised I made a lot of them here because I was worried I would be by myself. So I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Well, my dear friend, that offer is appreciated but I am still finding my feet as regards to lodgings. I loathe being confined to a room and require more space.

Do you know whether there is a cartographer present? I could utelise a map and save you work, at that.

As for a cartographer, I don’t. However, it shouldn’t be too difficult to make a map right?

As for your second question, I doubt it should be so easy when one is unfamiliar with a place. But no matter. One is bound to be present somewhere, would you not agree? Perhaps even in the library...
