Hey everyone! I'm Morgan, and I've been studying martial arts for a while now. I know a lot of us showed up here without any of the magic or powers we had back home, some people never had any, and some aren't used to protecting themselves the way the quests and general area around here expects. So for people who'd like, I'm offering to teach.

'Course martial arts also offers confidence, good health, discipline, and a side of acupressure massage technique if that's a selling point. And if you already know some I'm happy to work with you to improve them more, and maybe my own too at that rate.

Well I can definitely help anyone that wants to learn how to properly work a lance and shield style. That's my strongest discipline.

I'm curious how a lance works when not on a horse. It seems like it would be unwieldy.

[beaumains]

It takes practice and conditioning! But the basic strategy you'd use with any other polearm applies, too. Thrusts, sweeps, you just only use one hand and use your forearm as a balance and guide.

I can understand that, I'm just not envisioning how you get the proper leverage. So seeing it will be interesting!

I had an undefeated record in the joust, horse or not, so you'll definitely see how powerful it can be.

Awfully cocky of you to think I'd even lose in a spar!

Well, if I were using a lance, I'd be doomed. But with my sword or unarmed?

[beaumains]

You'd still lose.

My brother and Sir Lancelot both were the best swordsmen in all of Camelot, and I still beat them. And no offense, Morgan, but I'm not sure you're as great as they were, not yet.

But even in losing, there's still lessons to be learned. Lancelot taught me that, when losing was about all I could manage.

No offense taken! I can't claim to be the world's greatest martial artist, after all.

I do study under her, though, so I have that going for me! And win or lose I still gain a lot of knowledge, so every experience is priceless.
