Arthur Pendragon, ask me anything. AMA, as it's called.

[ MOD NOTE: Arthur will reply to questions as best as he can with a couple responses per person. He has a lot to continue catching up on and learning himself so he can't continue conversations with everyone at leisure, but he wants to let everyone get to know him. [ He gives him a smile and is about to thank him for doing his part, but then he asks another question. ]

There are a few others, but it would not appear any of my knights survived the passage of time.

[ It's a vague answer, but honestly, it's a lot for Arthur-- his friends and family are gone, after all, and it's only been a couple months of knowing that. He would really prefer not to make a discussion of this with a stranger. ]

[That is a lot to take in. Hijikata doesn't plan on prodding him any more, and while his expression initially turns more solemn he musters what he hopes will be read as an encouraging smile.]

I'm sure you'll get to see them again when this is all over. We strangers can't replace them in the meantime, but we'll have your back.

[He really should be more cautious than to pledge his allegiance to a leader he barely knows, regardless of how clearly Arthur holds sovereignity here, but speaking with him face to face has given him a better impression of him, and he comes across as a sincere person. What's more, Hijikata would also want his own leader to be looked after by others if he got scrambled up in a time warp. (Besides the prospect of being able to hold a mayonnaise banquet at the round table is really, really tempting.)]

[Oh wow, look at that!! He had manners stowed away somewhere! Much as the Shinsengumi dislike being called the dogs of the shogunate, some encouragement and praise goes a long way with them...]

I'll be working towards it.

[Not that he wants the title that badly, but having a place to belong to again would really put him at ease... and if the knights have a fixed salary that'll mean more mayonnaise on his plate and more tobacco in his lungs.]
