[ MOD NOTE: Arthur will reply to questions as best as he can with a couple responses per person. He has a lot to continue catching up on and learning himself so he can't continue conversations with everyone at leisure, but he wants to let everyone get to know him. [ Well, someone else has already asked about his thoughts on "other" King Arthurs. Since that's been done already, she'll ask him something else. ]

Is there anything about your rule that you regret? If so, what are they?

[ What a difficult question. Arthur has to take a moment to consider, solemnity in his face. In the end, regrets are something he has, but not something it does any good to dwell on. Something to learn from, to be sure. But... ]

I would have forgiven Lady Guinevere for her indiscretions. It may not seem pertinent to all in regards to my rule, but I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge my emotions had an undue influence on me back then.

You... did not forgive Lady Guinevere?

[ Her own face turns solemn. This King Arthur... is certainly different from her. When she had learned of Guinevere and Lancelot's love... she had forgiven it without so much as a second thought. Of course, her relationship with Guinevere then was loveless... and Lancelot was one of her most trusted knights.

Guinevere had sacrificed much, marrying her even though they were of the same sex, hidden though it may have been. She had understood this sacrifice and wrote a letter of pardon to both Lancelot and Guinevere, even giving them her blessings, stating that "their actions must have good cause".

It was an answer befitting of the "perfect king" that she was... yet that decision ended up playing into her downfall, and even drove Lancelot mad. ]

...I understand.

[ A pause. ]

One final question, however... though you may have regrets, how do you feel about the path you chose. The path that lead you here? Do you believe it to be the right path? Or the wrong one?

[ Sometimes he wonders. But vulnerability is not something he should be displaying. Openness, sure, but not vulnerability. ]

The path I've walked has not been an easy one, and yet I have seen the world that has been created after the changes my reign has brought. The people are better for it, and that means my job as a king, as a protector of my people, was well-done. This world may have its faults as it always has and always shall, but it is worth protecting. I cannot see it as anything but right if I am to continue down it now.
