[Someone has finally shown Toph how to turn on the accessibility settings on her phone, and then walked her through what it is actually good for. Also, she's bored enough to use it.]

What do people actually do around here? Yeah, we're saving the world, but where I come from, that means going out and fighting or making nice with people or something.

I can only spend so long trying to learn the stupid magic before my brain starts coming out of my ears.

I run my school, and try to get metalbending through the thick heads of my students. But since this stupid world decided that I needed new magic and not my earthbending, I can't do that, can I?

Is that... a kind of music? [he is so out of the loop. He's a little surprised she has a school, but doesn't exactly take it seriously]

Elemental magic. Which is kind of like bending, except just different enough that I can't just do it.

If you can figure out how to get to that level with...whatever it was you were doing before. [which he assumes must be physical] You'll have no problem with this.

I just want it to do more than, look, I can throw rocks around, or pretend to be the Avatar and throw rocks, fire, water, AND air around. That's cool, but not exactly creative.

[She was about to make a joke until she realized... wait, it's not funny if he can't see her in-person to know she's blind. Curse this newfound technology and its disruption of some of her best material.]

[Yes, she's vaguely aware the phone has a camera, but why would she bother with that?]

We're still focusing on things I can do that aren't more magic.

Well... [he flounders a bit] There are...classes to take. [children and education go hand in hand with him. Though he's not sure that's what she's looking for]

My earthbending classes back home were useless. My parents told my sifu that all I was allowed to learn was breathing exercises, because it might tax my 'delicate constitution'.

Sure, some teachers aren't useless, but why should I waste my time finding out?
