[She still hasn't quite gotten the hold of the video feature yet, so text it is. Oh well.]
Hello!
I know that a lot of us showed up recently and everything and I was curious what type of magic or what-not that everyone has? We didn't have magic where I'm from, there were Hamon practitioners but that's... it's a pretty specialized thing and I can say I only knew five people who were able to use it. And there were... other things, but it doesn't matter since they're gone and not coming back anyway!
Oh! Evidently mine is healing??? Or that's what my new friend seems to indicate! It's nice to have a companion immediately, isn't it? Especially if they're pretty special themselves! Or I think so.
I was wondering if anyone was interested in seeing if some place around here would let us use their kitchen for cooking practice? I'd love to learn about different cuisines here as I'm only really familiar with a type of Italian and might as well broaden my horizons here, right?
Thank you!

There's truth to her words and he's seen it enough times with his own two eyes to know that he isn't the worst husband for her to take.
Is she too good for him? Absolutely. He wouldn't give JoJo the addresses or numbers of any of the nameless tourists he used to charm, let alone Suzi. But she can live lavishly off that large fortune and travel and do all the things she couldn't stuck on that island.
She can look out for him too because that thick head of his is bound to get him into trouble.
If he wasn't rationing the few remaining cigarettes in his pocket, he would light one up right now.]
I take it he's treating you well. [A pause, and-] Good. Even he's not foolish enough to mess up a good marriage. That man knows he lucked out.
no subject
For a moment she can't help a soft hum as she's thinking of how to reply to him exactly. She knows it's true, in a way, that he lucked out. But...]
I suppose time will tell how he handles all of it, it's only been about two weeks since then. And he was healing for quite a while before then. [Perhaps a good thing to talk about, but she's not seeming to connect the dots on if he would or wouldn't know.]
no subject
But he's always been a risk taker and he's not worried-he wouldn't waste his time being concerned over someone that could pull the wool over the eyes of immortal beings. JoJo is tenacious, strong and a survivor. The few good qualities in him that Caesar admires.
Look, he's not worried is the thing. Not at all. Not in the slightest. He just has to know what happened.]
Hamon should have kept him from being bedridden for long. He had enough of it.
[He mentally chastises himself for that comment. It was a gift to save that moron's life and he won't sully that memory. There's an exasperated sigh on his end, directed towards himself as he tries to pull it back.]
Was he injured in the fight with those monsters?
no subject
Right, focus on the other comments.]
He was, yes, though as far as I'm aware they're all gone now. It only cost Joseph a hand and some mending. [A robotic hand that's a little terrifying when he wants it to be, but whatever. It's probably fine.]
no subject
Skill too. The man is adaptable and losing only a hand to beasts that could consume people whole even while they were stuck behind stone is impressive.
He got through this alive and well. Caesar, despite his words, is happy and his tone reflects that. It's light and airy-like they're talking about the weather and not a trio of immortals with a unerring bloodlust.]
Good. That mess is finally over after all these years. They were a curse on the Joestar family and my own. Your new life should be peaceful without that threat looming.
[Fuck it. He's lighting a cigarette. One down, 19 to go.]
The fool will be fine. They could have smashed his head in and he would still get the last word somehow.
no subject
Hopefully nothing new crawls out of the woodwork. But I'm here instead of there, aren't I? Which doesn't exactly... bode well for the future. [She's not wrong, but she quietly hopes that her time here won't be long and she can get back to what she was doing. Being torn from something happy isn't a pleasant experience, after all.]
That's true. I don't think Joseph knows how to keep his mouth shut unless it's busy with something else. [WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN, SUZI.]
I... guess this place is treating you well, so far? I imagine it can't be any worse than dea-[She's immediately cutting that off, oops.]
Nevermind.
no subject
But there's that death, nevermind and the awkward silence that follows isn't typical for the two of them. It's uncomfortable. Unpleasant. He can say, actually, it feels worse than being smashed by a stone.
He takes a drag and inhales the biggest lungful of smoke he can-there's no hiding from it. Not that he ever did. He's proud of his sacrifice. It worked. They won. JoJo clearly used his hamon to persevere through i and the Zeppeli lineage can live free of this curse.
His siblings will never have to worry about picking this fight up. They can have families and grow up and live the lives they should've always had.]
It's fine. This place isn't like Italy, but it's not the worst spot to spend some time. I'm not a fan of my 'familiar' though.
[Not that he's a fan of much, honestly.]
The place looks ancient, but the technology isn't. It's odd.
no subject
I know, I know... [She's muttering, obviously not directed at Caesar before she focuses once again.]
What is your familiar? They all seem pretty friendly from what I've seen? And... I have to agree, the technology is almost a mix of what I'd expect from this place but then there's... things I've never seen before. Like this whole thing we're talking on right now, it's obviously not a phone or anything. [And evidently capable of video, but she's not sure if she's ready to test that just yet.]
But I think I'd rather things I've never seen than ancient technology. Can you imagine having to deal with an ancient kitchen, as an example? I can't.
video
[They touch on the topic and it's gone just as fast.
He switches to video for two reasons-he wants her to follow suit, so he can see her face and ensure she's fine from the journey. She always hides everything behind a smile, whether it's intentional or not.
She can see him too and while his death hadn't been kind in any sense-he looks no worse for wear. Like he wasn't sliced and beaten and left to die under a slab of stone. The people here were able to mend him completely.
And two-
He knows she'll enjoy the sight of the silver horse laying behind him. It's almost blinding. There's a horn poking from its forehead and he's-
Not really paying attention to it. It ruined enough of his dates today and he's giving it the not so silent treatment.]
My familiar is this creature. [It makes a noise-like it's offended by the comment.] This unicorn. I've yet to figure out what its name is. What is yours?
