[It's pretty early in the morning when Sherry sends out her message. She was still trying to really 'get' the network, but it was starting to make sense.]

[Also no one should make fun of her awesome 1998 style username.]

Hi. Good morning. I'm Sherry Birkin. I only arrived here a few days ago so I don't really know anyone yet...

Which I guess makes this a strange question but I-

[There's a pause because of a very audible yawn.]

Oh! Sorry about that. Okay. Does anyone have advice on what to do about getting rid of nightmares? I've never really had them before but they're...pretty bad right now.

If not it's okay. I'm sure I can get used to them.

Thanks though.

[There's another yawn that cuts off midway as she disconnects.]

[Gokudera isn’t so injured that he can’t move about, and he’s done his best to treat most of his own injuries. What all he is bringing to Sherry are small burns on his hands and forearms. It probably won’t ever look like he was in a fight where explosives were involved.

He sends the girl a message asking for her room number and introduces himself when he realizes that he hadn’t done so before.

With her acknowledgment, he’s knocking on the door to the room, dressed casually in a simple white t-shirt and black jeans.]

Sherry? Thanks for helping me.

[He steps in, giving a courteous bow of his head and going to remove his shoes before entering any further.]

[Sherry had changed into shorts and a t-shirt, and she answered the door with a slightly uncertain smile.]

Hello.

[She stepped back, unable to hide her surprise when he took his shoes off but not saying anything.]

You can sit down at the table, if it doesn't hurt to sit?

[Despite this being a hotel room of sorts, Gokudera is respectful. He doesn't know who this girl is staying with and how they may feel about her having someone over. He is going to do his best to leave a good impression however he can.]

No, it doesn't hurt like that.

[He takes a seat at the table and rests an arm on it, turning it and looking over the still-healing burns littering his forearms.]

Okay.

[Further into the room, he'd see a large black dog and an awful green frog monster sitting near the window, both watching him carefully. Their message was clear. Behave.]

[Sherry tugged the other chair up to the table, frowning at his arm. It wasn't the worst burn she had seen, which...said more about her life than she wanted to admit.]

This might sting a little, I think?

[Sherry said as she held up her hands, which started to glow.]

Ready?

[Gokudera would feel some intimidation at anyone watching him carefully. Creatures, though... he loves them, and if anything, he brightens up at seeing them, but doesn't approach because he's shy and maybe doesn't want to come off as an eager boy.

Instead, he's gotta act well. He's a bit too tired to go on and on about his love of monsters and unusual creatures. Gokudera looks at Sherry as she looks at his arm and he smiles gently.]

Go ahead. I trust you.

[While the dog usually gets that kind of reaction, the hunter less so. But hey, people could find monsters cute, right? Maybe? Sherry was completely oblivious to his smothered eagerness.]

Okay.

[Sherry hadn't really healed many people before, and while she knew it worked, it wasn't the same thing as actually doing it. She drew in a breath, fingers flexing uncertainly before she pressed the tips to his arm. For a few seconds, nothing happened, until her hands started to glow and he would feel the magic washing over him.]

[And it was clearly working, but it also definitely stung a bit.]

[He's watching the arm she's working on, feeling the stinging, but not too bothered by it. Gokudera usually damages himself with his own weapons. Explosions are just typical around him, and he's used to having to take care of his own injuries. Maybe helping someone else makes Sherry feel good?]

Not bad... You uh..

[He hardly ever compliments people, and he can be a jerk, but now is not the time for that.]

You're really good at this. I should come see you more often!

[Sherry laughed, somewhere between nervous and embarrassed, when he complimented her. Which made her healing falter for a few seconds before her face narrowed and she was back to it.]

I don't really know how it works. [She admitted.] I just...think about it. And it does. I think it's probably easier than other magic?

[Gokudera smiles honestly when she’s looking back down at her work, happy to have made her laugh.]

I think all magic is difficult in its own ways, and comes with some challenging things. For healing, you could have somebody hurt really bad, like life or death! That’s nothing easy to deal with! For me, I’ve got light magic and I use it to make shields to keep myself and other people safe.

[He watches as his burn is healed, and then looks at his other hand where the palm is burned from holding up his shield against a fiery kick that broke it.]

You’re doing great if you think it’s easy...
