What abilities should a sword have?

It isn't magic, but the ability I've missed the most from my own here is how it could cut magic.

How can magic be cut? Does that stop a spell from taking effect?

So, my sword is made out of a particular metal called Primium, which is powerfully, powerfully antimagick. It can slice through... well, better to say it can disrupt spells, either incoming ones or existing ones. Without getting too much into detail on that... But I figure someone could achieve the same effect with a fixated antimagic or dispel field. Siphoning, around here.

Adding a siphoning ability to my blade would be amazing, though. Too bad I wasn't given that one.

Takes someone really, really skilled to mix the alloy involved and then condense enough raw energy of existence into it. I have no idea how it's done.

Someone else might be able to enchant it like that, though! Native powers go way beyond what we can do as innocent victims of yoinkage.

Don't quote me on this but I THINK around here, they all count as 'fae creatures'. Since it covers things like banshees, too. But that doesn't mean they're alike at all.

Demons aren't all alike either. Neither are evil spirits. Everyone has a different idea of what's right and what's wrong.

Belief defines reality, and all that, though that's less operational here in a land of condensed potential than it is most places.
Still, I think they all slot under the same general umbrella based on the rules as unwritten, here.

On the one hand, that depends on who you ask, doesn't it?

But on the other, there are objectively evil and wicked Mages, called Nephandi, and I am decidedly not one of them.

I believe that potential, growth, and freedom are superior to safety and conformity, so since I pursue those for myself and others, I believe myself to be good.
