What abilities should a sword have?
[Be basic. Be creative. Spring is about renewal, right? He wants to upgrade his Jiangzai.]
If you say it should cut parchment, I will curse you. Anyone can sharpen a blade. I want to talk about magic.

You mean the damage you do? What changes have you made?
[Asks the man who has too many scars to count.]
We can make one.
Yes, yes! He's my creation.

It's hard to explain in words, but... wherever I cut, it's all freezing. But that's just with ice spells. The frost keeps spreading until its solid; until it's all frozen over. Whatever the target is. They'll be shattered up afterwards.
But it's same with all my burning spells. So the Element doesn't matter so much.
I've left my ice in a wakizashi before, but it's nothing that permanent. I'm not that strong enough on my own yet, so it'll lose that attribute later, I guess.
[Though now he's curious.]
Did you need a new technique?
I'd say your weapon's most important, though... but mine's the White Amaryllis.
[Not that he's asked! His spirit's taken to swords lately.]

[Xue Yang would love shattering his opponents or burning them. A little too much, actually. He shouldn't have these abilities.]
I'm always open to learn~
Disasters and Flowers. The perfect combo!
[And not just because his husband's sword is the Frost Flower.]

You could think of it as your back-up; in case your weapon's lost. It's a type of short-sword samurai used.
[The type he wants to be.]
It's more useful than you'd think at times...
But I'd want nothing to do with disasters. Mom just liked the amaryllis most, and flowers are stronger than everyone thinks they are. [...But nevermind all these things. He's drawn to "weapons talk", distractions; combining their strategies now. He's rarely this interested.] I'll only injure as much as I need to. We don't exactly have a choice with things with all the monsters out lately.
[Yes. The very, non-human monsters. The walking dead he's encountered.]
I don't know how much you're interested, but I could probably shift their attributes, if it's weapons you're using. I can't say how long it'd last just yet, but I've always used Elements. You'd have to choose between all of them, and my lightning's still weakest.
[Being honest here.]
Do you need someone to train with?
You're probably further along than I am if you've make your own weapon.

Some flowers are deadly. If you're worried I think your name is weak, I don't. And don't worry about cutting a bunch of monsters down. You're doing us a favor.
[Utilizing the elements intrigues him, but he won't risk screwing up his sword.]
Let's get together and you can show me what you can do, alright? I'll do the same. We can decide what elements suit my style the best.

He can't deny as much, can he? He's shattered a lot of things, lately—been violent a lot of times. "Disasters and Flowers" each mission now.
Someone's simply spelled it out for him.]
I'll take your word for it. [About the monsters.] It's something else I'd been thinking about.
[But more importantly,]
When's a good time to meet?
I could bring the wakizashi if you wanted to have a look at it.
[He wouldn't mind.] I'm Todoroki, by the way.

[This one he likes!]
I'm Xue Yang. Nice to meet you, Todoroki!
no subject
I'll remember that. [Xue Yang.]
But fine with me. I shouldn't have any missions set.
[As if he's ever turned down anything. He's happy to make the time.]
Would the training grounds work for you?
no subject
Great! That's just fine with me. I'll be there with my Jiangzai and maybe some of my poisons. Don't worry, I won't use them on you.
no subject
I'll appreciate it.
[He can heal, but, oh boy...] We'll work hard.
