Uhhh, hi. Morning. The name's LeClair, Noah. One of the newer faces around here. So...those...ghost things were something, weren't they? Scared the hell out of me, but some brave souls brought us all through it, my thanks for that.
I'm still gettin' used to this place, but recent events tuckered me out so I wanted to take things a bit slower, get to know the folks here. So, tell me about where you're from. I've never travelled outside Avalon - err, that is my Avalon not this place - and hearing about new places seems kinda fun.
[ A beat. ]
Oh right! I've got another question thats been driving me up the wall but - [ The camera shifts to an unkept bed, or maybe it was tidied up before its current occupant decided to lounge on it. ] - can anyone tell me what kind of cat this bloomin' thing is? She's almost half my size and can jump up the side of a house like no one's bloody business, and sometimes bites her tail.
[ Suddenly the "big cat" reaches over and om noms. ]
Just like that.

That's a snow leopard. It's a wild cat... I'm guessing she's your familiar and not just a stray you found?
Re: video; un: jean
Not sure, torch. She just appeared out of the blue and followed me since. I think she is, but I wouldn't know the difference between an animal a familiar at a glance. Also what do you mean, "wild cat"? Cats aren't wild. Birds, maybe, but not cats.
no subject
Then she's most likely your familiar, if she's not from your world.
[Which is obvious since he doesn't know what she even is.]
There are wild cats in existence. They're a lot bigger than normal cats most of the time and they hunt for a living.
no subject
[ Technically it's already happening. ]
So what do they hunt? Mice that are just as big?

I'm Hypnos from Hades. Your cat is pretty cute, I bet your familiar. Have you tried talking to her? Sometimes familiars can talk.
voice; un: nleclair
[ And don't him started on how much bed space she occupies. ]
So what's Hades like? Its a nice name, I'll give you that. Easy and rolls off the tongue.
no subject
[ But it's also...a sheep. ]
Hades is the Underworld. So it's about what you'd imagine. A lovely place, really. I love it there. There's places that are just pure quiet and easy to relax. There's no sky or sun there, though. Unlike here.
So this is nice.

[ That's the first thing she says, blinking for a couple of moments--and then she shakes her head. Oops, wait, back up, introductions first. ]
--Uh, I mean, hi? I'm Ritsuka. That's definitely a leopard of some sort. Have you tried asking her? If she's hanging out with you like that, she's probably magic or something. There's a lot of that going on here.
Re: video | un: maruchan
I was told she was something called a 'wild cat', a snow something. Think its that thing you said, lept-thing. Also she doesn't talk, save growling or meowing at me. She's kind of a little brat.
[ The little brat is also now sitting up behind him, still om nomming on her tail, and is now pawing at Noah. ]
no subject
[ Right! He says it, and it clicks; she looks as proud as if she'd figured it out herself. ]
But if she's sticking to you like that, she's probably your familiar? Which means she probably can talk, just, that's where the brat part comes in.
[ Probably, she says, but her familiar has never talked to her, either... on the other hand, she's pretty sure hers is still a baby. Maybe she should be trying to teach it? Put that on the to-do list for later. ]
And don't worry about the name. You can always just make something up? Most of my friends make up nicknames for me all the time. Anything is probably better than "Piglet"...

[Robyn has heard mention of leopards and seen very crude 17th century depictions of them, but she's never seen a real one before. That one sure is pretty.]
I'm Robyn. I'm from England, but me and me Father moved to Ireland before I ended up here.
Re: Video | un: robin
[ And everyone keeps saying she is a lep-thing so she must be one. ]
Hello Robyn. What are those places like?
no subject
[Robyn's gotten used to the more modern technology here, but it wasn't like anything she'd seen before at home.]
England was nice. Me father's a hunter, and I used to help him hunt for food. But we had to move to Ireland, and there's a great forest outside town, but when we got there Father just wanted me to stay in town all the time.

[ That's not a serious offer, since Minako knows familiars are a personal thing and all that - but she just can't help it, the moment she sees that.. leopard, she guesses, chew on its tail like that.
It's dumb, but so much cuter than her own familiar. ]
Mine refuses to ever move. I literally have to carry him around to go anywhere.
Re: voice; un: vforvenus
If she starts demanding to be carried everywhere you, you got a deal.
[ The snow leopard heard this and sat up behind him, tail still in mouth, and pawed at his head. ]
no subject
It's not his words that cause Minako's surprise as much, mind you. No, it's entirely what the oversized cat behind him is doing. ]
.. I think she's got something to say about that.
[ Since the leopard is not-so-subtly trying to pull his attention with that pawing. ]

Isn't biting one's tail something a lot of cats do?
I dunno, looks like a leopard of some kind.

[ Thank goodness the local cobbler was competent. ]
I'm told she's one of those. A snow one of somekind. Probably cause of her fur, though I don't remember snow having black spots. She's probably just a weird one.
[ He shrugs implying 'just my luck' ]

Maaan... This sucks! Why do you get such a cute looking familiar?! Cats are really good at looking after themselves!
video | un: nleclair
Really? This one just seems to keep making me do things. Well, she hasn't really said anything, but she will keep pawing or kicking me until it get food or something.
no subject
[He actually really liked cats, so he couldn't help and be rather invested in Noah's familiar here.]
Have you given it a name yet? Or are you still brainstorming ideas?

Why would she be chewing on me? Maybe a nibble here and there cause she's a cat...but chewing kinda means she'd eat me.
