I'm going to go ahead and ask the obvious question here, but does anyone have any idea who opened up the veil between the living and the dead? Because they have a lot to answer for.
Of course, if this is you and you're listening to this, now would be a great time to come out and gloat about your evil plan. Come on, really lord it over us. You know you want to!
[It's a vague attempt at levity -- he doesn't actually think this will provoke anyone -- but it's not really convincing. If anything, he sounds more frustrated.]
The other explanation is that some inexperienced magic users tried to do a ritual that went horribly awry, I suppose, but you'd have to be desperate to do something so risky. Still, if that's the case, you should come clean about it anyway. If... you're even still alive.
[He's about to reach to end the feed, but a thought occurs to him, and he looks towards the sky.] Ah, right. One thing I do know is that what you can see in the sky? That's definitely the calamity. I went to the end of the world, so I can say for sure that it's the same thing. We can't afford for time to be unfrozen again.
private to kate and rei
[Right after, Kate and Rei will receive a seperate message:]
Did either of you notice anything weird about the stuff you took? Far be it for me to cast aspersions on my lovely partners in crime, I'm just curious.

private; text to both of them.
one way of putting it.
( she is not unaware that saying I've been having horny thoughts since I picked the damn thing up is going to sound very... "what's odd about that?", especially to Rei. but it just... it isn't right. especially not at the moment. )

[A pause as he types his actual answer.]
It's inert so far.
But I haven't tried hanging or lighting it yet, so I can't rule anything out. Hoping to get a read on how old the bones are before I do anything crazy.
Crazier than swiping it in the first place, I mean
[har har har.]
and yours?

[ She just assumes it was more wild magic here, but maybe she shouldn't have
being a detective's apprentice and all. Maybe it makes more sense if it was someone, but she doesn't pay attention to the larger world. ]no subject
We have to find out who was responsible, unless we want to risk something like this happening again.

[ She repeated the phrase, the words and thought stuck in her throat. It reminds her of something she'd rather not think about — But so much does here. And why should it not? She's the body of a certain king, a life that would be given up to resurrect a person dead for ages. ]
[ She halts and then asks quietly: ]
Even if you find them... Can't something like it happen again? If something is supposed to happen anyway, isn't it — just a matter of time?

No, I'm not happy. Who roped people into it, and why? Where are they now? What did they want?
Was it the Fisher King they revived, or someone else?

Who did it?
My girlfriend and I fought on the frontlines to try and protect the people in Camelot. She got hurt. She nearly died. I'm not going to sit and wait till some madman threaten everything we hold dear once again.

It's not a lot to go by, but we're not totally in the dark now, if he's telling the truth.

I suppose you could follow the blood, in this case. Dunno if you'll find the right corpse, though.

It was truly such a horrific thing. But since you point it out, it is quite strange that the perpetrator still has not shown himself... Or themselves, perhaps. Do we know if it was a single person? If so, they could be quite the danger, to pull something like that off on their own. Perhaps it was a fae of some sort? Some doomsday fanatic? I would not be surprised at all...
What manner of punishment would be fitting, do you imagine?
text; un: stargazer
As for the punishment, that's for Arthur to decide, isn't it?
no subject
And while Arthur is certainly king of Avalon... Such a crime goes beyond danger to this isle. Should not we visitors get a say? Or are you saying that you yourself hold no ill will towards the perpetrators? You have no loved ones in your world?
