I'm going to go ahead and ask the obvious question here, but does anyone have any idea who opened up the veil between the living and the dead? Because they have a lot to answer for.

The other explanation is that some inexperienced magic users tried to do a ritual that went horribly awry, I suppose, but you'd have to be desperate to do something so risky. Still, if that's the case, you should come clean about it anyway. If... you're even still alive.

Well, it stopped making a creepy face by the time I got it home. Maybe it likes the lovely little abode it's in now, as opposed to being stashed away in that dusty old tomb.

Right. I did some reading, and those knights were only able to come here because a group of people performed a powerful ritual to resurrect a corpse. But not just any corpse -- one that was cursed. That kind of power was enough to open the veil between the living and the dead, and it wasn't closed, which is how we got into that mess.

We have to find out who was responsible, unless we want to risk something like this happening again.

It was truly such a horrific thing. But since you point it out, it is quite strange that the perpetrator still has not shown himself... Or themselves, perhaps. Do we know if it was a single person? If so, they could be quite the danger, to pull something like that off on their own. Perhaps it was a fae of some sort? Some doomsday fanatic? I would not be surprised at all...

What manner of punishment would be fitting, do you imagine?

Unless they were ridiculously strong, it's unlikely they did any of this on their own. And if any fae were involved, it's safe to say it wasn't anyone loyal to Queen Elphame.

As for the punishment, that's for Arthur to decide, isn't it?
