how do you make dreams stop?
[The message appears fairly early in the morning, maybe 4-5 AM.]

BUt I think I have a good memory I can use. Thinking about it.
Uh, right...where should I meet you?

I can be there soon

[As promised Hitoya is waiting at the cafe, well in advance of Tsuna's arrival. At this late hour there's only a couple other night owls burning the midnight oil and the lone barista at the counter wiping down some mugs and glasses.
Hitoya had his pick of seating, but he sits at a booth that offers some privacy, with a notebook open in front of him, attention absorbed in whatever he's writing.]

Uh...Hitoya-san?
sorry for the delay. it's been a month haha....
You got it. Have a seat. I know it's late but feel free to order anything you like.
[Treating Tsuna like he would one of his clients, it's in his nature to make the other feel comfortable. He's got a coffee himself, still steaming and mostly full.]
No worries
[If pressed, he'll probably order some tea but he's a little nervous about all of this.
Still, he sits and tries to smile.]
So, what happens next?

First I'll need to get a good image of what you want to use to replace this dream.
[Reaching into the inner pocket of his jacket, he pulls out a fairly ordinary looking microphone and carefully sets it in front of Tsuna, nodding toward it.]
It doesn't look like much but that thing is connected to my magic. If you speak into, I should be able to imagine what you're describing.
no subject
So, can that be like, another memory? Or should I describe the dream I've been having and what I'd want to change?
[Either way, he'll take a moment to think about his answer.]
no subject
The replacement memory is the most import. Without that I can't form the new dream for you. But if you're willing to share both that will make the effect stronger. It's your choice.
[Regardless, he finally takes a sip from his coffee, leaving it to Tsuna to decide.]

I think I'll just stick with the new memory for now, if that's alright.
So I just, talk into the microphone?
no subject
[Nodding to the mic.]
There's a switch on the side. It won't make a sound but I'll let you know if there's any problems.
[In the dead of night, set to the barely audible tune of innocuous coffee shop jazz, and little more than transitory spirits to keep them company, it would be terribly rude to disrupt that with any noise from a real speaker.]
no subject
Ah...um...
[He winces, an awkward start, but he gives his head a shake and tries again.]
I guess the memory is this. It's a normal day, I'm at home. My tutor wakes me up because I'm running late. I don't really have time to have breakfast but that's fine because the table's busy anyway. But my mom sees me off and Lambo, I-pin, and Fuuta wave to. I run out the door and meet Gokudera-kun, who's waiting for me like usual. We rush off to school, and on the way we run into Yamamoto. We're almost late, and I can see Hibari-san glaring at us but we make it before the bell rings. I get settled into the class and Kyoko-chan waves at me.
That's a good start, right?

In his own mind the quiet, midnight cafe fades away to be replaced by the broad strokes of Tsuna's words, his descriptions breathing life into the these people he's never met. From a world he's never set foot in. It's a direct connection to his mind, his memories and Hitoya finds himself smiling at having something so cheerfully mundane play out before him.]
That's perfect. I've got everything so far.
