Do the mafia and yakuza get along? I've been in a mafia play before but we have actual yakuza in our troupe and have basically been adopted by his yakuza family [ they most definitely have not been adopted, but they do get a fair amount of yakuza in their audience, including the big boss ] so legally I at least have to tell Sakyo-nii and Hikaru if Hikaru doesn't already know. But I won't tell anyone else!

[ It's a good thing he's not kidding!! Even when he was shadowing Sakyo and Sakoda on their yakuza work to get a feel of how to be a good underling for a play, he was put in charge of babysitting the client's kid or asked to stand outside any time they did something sketchy. He's 100% fine with hanging out with gangsters of all varieties, and will even show up to a fight to help save a friend, but he's not a fighter and the one time he did something illegal he still feels guilty about.

But Taichi's definitely moved onto a different problem at this point, and that's that Gokudera, who he doesnt really know that well, has just informed him that the mafia is now going to be watching he and his friends through no fault of his own. Taichi may be good-natured for 90% of his life, but he's more than capable of getting mad. It's rare to see a scowl on his face, but he's kind of pissed off by that last thing Gokudera said- you can threaten him all you want, the second you involve his friends for no reason, he's gonna get some attitude. ]

Dude, you spilled the beans because I asked you if you were making sumo wrestler food with your KFC. Like that's a reason to tell me a secret that even you said is dangerous to know! A secret that apparently you thought Hikaru was fine to know even though he's just as normal as I am and you've been putting him in danger this whole time! Now you're threatening to sick the mafia on my friends? And you think I'm wrong to want to tell the person who's got my back and is badass enough to handle mafia stuff? You're the one who's going around blabbing about the mafia because you skipped basic role research, tell your boss to watch yourself!

Let’s say that the most powerful mafia from my world has a sordid history, and the Tenth is next up in charge. But he’s not so interested in dealing with crime. In fact, he’d want to take down the whole family from the inside out and rebuild it.

Old heads in the game, Dons of allied families, or those who value tradition might see that as a threat.

And then there’s just people looking to take out the Tenth for bragging rights, or money. The Tenth is inherently always in danger. It is my job to help support him.

So knowing him or me, or the other members of our family currently in this world could be dangerous if someone from my home were to show up.

I’m not comfortable keeping such a secret when this world is not my home. I’m not trying to make it well known, just tell the people I could see as allies, you know?

So I guess honestly I’m aggravated that someone I don’t know will be told something I’ve only been sharing with people I thought- [Now he’s not sure if he can trust Taichi. He doesn’t regret what he did, but maybe it was a mistake to attempt any kind of opening up.]

Heh, though I was the only one who couldn't really fight, but I was okay it telling people to look out. He definitely doesn't want to do anything weird to Ten-san. His boss isn't here at all.

[ Taichi is useless in yakuza matters, despite being the one to volunteer to shadow them. Autumn troupe doesn't know how to play nicely though. ]

You could use his name. You aren’t a part of the family, so there’s no need to use any titles. Gives you less connection that way, and will keep you safe.

[He won’t ever refer to his boss by his name when addressing him, but if it’s to inform someone who is more… casual, it’s fine.]

[Not even really an apartment. He does pay a fee to live there, but also looks after the tree growing up through the center of the building. He has no idea why there’s a tree growing up into this building, but supposedly the place built around it, and no one else wanted to put up with it. His leopard lives in it, so… he couldn’t turn it down, despite the space being rather limited.

He would prioritize his pet over himself. Uri has been treated to some of the chicken as well.]

Text me the address! Hikaru's a fashion designer and I can do all the basic adjustments myself since I had to learn to assist Yuki-chan in all of our costumes back home, so I don't know where any of the tailors are. I'll be there soon, we don't live at the inn.

Cats are fine! I can't talk to them or anything though. [ Weirdly, a detail he would include whether animal mages are a thing or not. A3! is bizarre. He'll be on his way as soon as he gets the address, big cats or not.. ]

[ Taichi wants to pet.. the cat... it's kind of like when a puppy gets excited about seeing a cat and can't calm himself down now, he's rushing to Gokudera's address!! He knocks rapidly once he gets there. Must see big cat!! ]

[Gokudera opens the door and steps aside to welcome Taichi in. The entire apartment reeks of fried chicken, and there’s a young leopard walking right up, assuming this is… someone with more food.

Uri stops short to sniff at Taichi, growling all the while. The cat wants food.]

He’s demanding. Sorry.

[Gokudera moves to shut the door behind Taichi and then turns towards his kitchen so he can pull a tub of fried chicken from his oven.]
