No, I just went to the bakery earlier today when they just pulled these out. Though perhaps one day I will take a few lessons on how to bake sweets.

[She is something else! Kind of like Xiao Xingchen - she has that same innocence - and, frankly, Xue Yang isn't sure what to do with either of them! But he does hold onto the teapot, happy for the warmth on his aching fingers.]

You could just ask. I might come. [Smirking playfully, he nabs a cookie and bites into it.]

If you don't mind hot ovens. [Taking a seat, he sets the teapot down and sighs.] I'm working on my poison arsenal. I don't recognize the plants in this place.

[Trust. It's such a tricky thing, isn't it? Xue Yang doesn't really trust anyone or anything anymore. He has allowed himself freedom with Xiao Xingchen, for example. Even if the man cuts his throat in his sleep, it's not like he will regret having the warmth of a real home for a little while.]
