[ It takes Mickey several attempts to get this right - this technology is WAY more than what he's used to. First the video keeps cutting out, then it's upside-down, but finally... the image stays! Relieved, Mickey waves a friendly hello from his room - to his right is a panting pup, and on his hat is his familiar, a brown sprite-like thing with tattered clothes. ]

Gosh, you think I got it right this time? I sure hope so... well, guess there's only one way t'find out!

[ Clears throat! ]

Hiya, folks! My name is Mickey Mouse! These are my pals, Pluto -

[ "Rowf!" Pluto happily barks. ]

And... uh, well... they told me this lil guy is my "familiar", not really sure what it all means, so I'm not sure what to call him. I thought about "Pluto Junior" -

[ Said familiar pinches Mickey's ear, hard, and Mickey visibly winces. ]

But, uh, as you can see, he... doesn't really like it all that much, so I guess if you have any suggestions when it comes to names... Oh, right! I almost forgot why I was usin' this thing in the first place!

See, back in my world, I'm a musketeer - guess it's what you'd call a "knight" here! And I still haven't really gotten a hang of this magic stuff... but I figured I should keep up my swordplay while I'm here, so I don't get rusty! Magic's useful and all, but the more ways you can help out the better, right?

So I was wonderin' if there's anyone out here who would be willin' to help with that - training with swords every so often! Thanks a million!

I guess you have a point. [still, it's surreal. Also that dog doesn't look like any dog he's seen out of a cartoon. The musketeer thing also throws him and he's tempted to ask if he means mousketeer but he's had more diversity training than that.

Right. Just....treat him...like...he's anyone else... He takes a deep breath and folds his arms]

Elemental! ... Which, I'm not really sure what that means, but I guess it'll come to me in time! We don't really have magic in my world, see...

Anthony has that too. You have control over the elements basically. Earth, fire, water [he stops himself from saying heart. This was all kinds of ridiculous but-- why not. why the hell not]

I feel like I'm still in some bloody carnival ride and just when you think you get used to it, another curve gets thrown your way. Don't you ever feel like you just want to get off?

Oh, well... sure, I'd like to go home, see my friends, and do my duty.

But... if someone needs help, I can't just sit back and do nothin'. So I'm going to do everything I can to help protect those who can't protect themselves!

Not me. [he rubs his stomach absently, not that it can be seen off frame] I feel like I'm the only one here who hates this madhouse.

[he didn't allow himself to miss anything because in that way lay madness and endless regret. He sighed]

No. Nevermind. [if ...whoever he was couldn't understand it, he didn't have the words to help]
