[ It takes Mickey several attempts to get this right - this technology is WAY more than what he's used to. First the video keeps cutting out, then it's upside-down, but finally... the image stays! Relieved, Mickey waves a friendly hello from his room - to his right is a panting pup, and on his hat is his familiar, a brown sprite-like thing with tattered clothes. ]

Gosh, you think I got it right this time? I sure hope so... well, guess there's only one way t'find out!

[ Clears throat! ]

Hiya, folks! My name is Mickey Mouse! These are my pals, Pluto -

[ "Rowf!" Pluto happily barks. ]

And... uh, well... they told me this lil guy is my "familiar", not really sure what it all means, so I'm not sure what to call him. I thought about "Pluto Junior" -

[ Said familiar pinches Mickey's ear, hard, and Mickey visibly winces. ]

But, uh, as you can see, he... doesn't really like it all that much, so I guess if you have any suggestions when it comes to names... Oh, right! I almost forgot why I was usin' this thing in the first place!

See, back in my world, I'm a musketeer - guess it's what you'd call a "knight" here! And I still haven't really gotten a hang of this magic stuff... but I figured I should keep up my swordplay while I'm here, so I don't get rusty! Magic's useful and all, but the more ways you can help out the better, right?

So I was wonderin' if there's anyone out here who would be willin' to help with that - training with swords every so often! Thanks a million!

I assure you, it is not a dream, though I thought much the same when I first arrived. [For ENTIRELY different reasons.]

Well, that is most grand. I have not heard of musketeers before, I am only aware of knights. I would be willing to listen about them, if you are so inclined to tell.

We're not too different from knights, really! We're the guardians of France! We protect those who can't protect themselves, and take down any bad guys who would threaten the peace! But me and my pals aren't just any ordinary musketeers - we're the special bodyguards to the princess! So above all, we have to keep her safe!

Oh my, how fortunate for the princess to have such a devoted Musketeer. I am sure that you and your friends are the best guards she could hope for. What is your princess like?

[ Clears throat. A-hem-hem. Let's try... something more professional! ]

W-what I meant to say was... she's very kind, and forgiving, and pretty much the best princess anyone could ask for!

[She caught that slip and the blushing. Who knew a mouse could blush!]

Oh, why Mickey, is that a blush I see? Are you in love with a certain princess?

[ ... Hard to deny that, given what just happened. Plus, he's never been any good at lying, and he knows it.

He clears his throat, tugging at his shirt collar a bit.]

Well, I, uh... That is... I, um... I might've thought... I dunno, I could... well, before I was here, me and my pals had just rescued her from some awful kidnappers, and I was... thinkin'... maybe I could escort her back to the castle... just her and me... maybe...?

Does she feel the same way, then? Oh, Mickey! That's wonderful!

[ Tugging, tugging, tugging, not really looking at Aurora. ]

Well, um... see... the thing is, I'm not too sure about that. This place whisked me away before I got the chance to ask.

Then let us hope she is not too long in arriving here, yes?

Why shouldn't she be able to. So many have been brought here, after all.

Hm...! And she actually might be safer here... We never did figure out who was after her.
