Goooooood morning everybody!
[ That's an... enthused greeting! It's coming from Stella, who's stood against a backdrop of what seems to be one of the walls of her hotel room that's been spruced up a bit with some pink bunting and other random decorations (thankfully just held up with sticky tack to avoid permanently defacing the walls). She's got a big smile on her face and she seems a little... 'switched on' is probably the best word for it. If you've met Stella before this, then it's easy to see that some of her flighty, unfocused energy is gone, apparently channeled into... whatever this video is. ]
So, if we haven't met before or you're new – hi! I'm Stella! I've been here... man, it's been a while now! I think about two months, maybe three? Either way, it's a while! And since I've been getting to know everybody who's here, making friends, that kinda stuff– I've noticed something!
[ She folds her arms across her chest, looking performatively pensive about this whole thing. ]
There's like... a bunch of us here who are performers! I mean singers and people who can play instruments or actors– you know, stuff like that! And at first I was like "okay, this is a really weird coincidence" but then I had a genius idea, since I'm, you know, a genius.
[ She says this with enough panache that the irony comes through, thankfully. ]
I was thinking – let's start a club! Or a group or a circle or an alliance, whatever we wanna call it! And if you're into music or acting or dancing you can come along and we can just kinda hang out and talk about it! And I've been looking around and there's a ton of places around here we could use as a meeting spot and there's studios where we can rehearse and places we could perform if we really wanna, and even recording studios too–
[ Thankfully, she catches herself before she rambles too much more and shakes her head a bit. ]
Okaaayyyy, I'm getting way too ahead of myself for right now, so I'm gonna just leave it there and say – well if you're interested, send me a message and if enough folks wanna come along, we can talk about meeting times and where to hang out. Easy! And...! Don't tab away yet, 'cause this is a twofer! [ she thrusts her hands towards the camera in a double peace sign to emphasize this. ] I've got something else I wanna ask!
... does anybody know where I can get a job? I'm basically dirt poor and I'm sooooooooo tired of just eating the food here at the inn... it's good! Don't get me wrong! But I need some variety or I'm gonna go insane. And I wanna be able to go shopping and have fun! So is anywhere hiring? Job-wise, I, uh... I've kind of only ever been an idol, so I don't really know what I can do, but hey! I'll try anything!
Alright, Stella out! Don't forget what I said, let me know if you wanna sign up for the meeting thing, okay? Byeee!

Ren on the other han is smiling widely.]
A group sounds like a great idea, Stella-chan. Let me know if you need help setting things up or anything.
As for a job, plenty of taverns seem to offering jobs for waiters. A social job that's a good fit for an idol.
video
I might take you up on that! I've never actually put together a club or a group before so I'm kinda just making it up as I go right now... but it can't be that hard, right?
[ Famous last words ]
You think a tavern would really be okay, though? Would I even be allowed in to work? I'm not even old enough to drink.
no subject
That's Sirius. I'll bring him to meet you sometime.
[Anyway.]
The most important thing to remember is that you don't have to shoulder everything about handling the group on your own.
And there's actually a tavern that only starts serving alcohol in the evening, so you could easily do morning or day shifts.

As for work, do you want to work with people? How old are you?
[ both important questions here ]
video
[ She thinks, anyway. The time of year here doesn't line up perfectly with the time of year it was back home, but it's just easier to go with the flow. ]
As for working with people... [ she wrinkles her nose a bit. ] I mean, I could totally do it! And I'd be pretty good at something where I've gotta be smiley and talky all day, since I'm used to that but I dunno if I'd be able to keep my cool while somebody was yelling at me, you know? Customers can get scary.
video
It depends on what you'd like to do.
I've not been yelled at yet.

And you still don't have a job??
Hm...well, I guess I could try and help. How about I give you a mock interview?
i just noticed his UN ant i'm gonna get your ass
Well! You know! I've been busy! With stuff!
[ The obvious question of what stuff goes unanswered because Stella very quickly goes ] Anyway! [ and barrels on as if she's adequately explained herself. ]
What would you even be interviewing me for, anyway? Like, what job?
would you perhaps prefer 'allstar?'
[Do you hear that tone? It's a very knowing tone.]
Oh, it's not for any type of job in particular. Just some questions to get a feel of what you're good at! Generic questions people might ask if they're looking to hire you.
I SWEAR TO GOD!!!
YEAH THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT

[Crow is actually not in his room, he's out and about in the farmlands. Sweat on his brow, and wearing more dressed down more than usual.]
As for a job, I don't think you want to work the land? It's pretty strenuous work, but I'm used to it since my parents owned a dairy farm. I can see you as a cute waitress, or even working in a bakery or florist.
video
[ She 'hmmmm's to herself as she thinks it over. ]
You think I could make some good money with tips and stuff?
no subject
[Crow gives her a thumbs up to go for it. She can just give it a try and quit if it doesn't work out.]
In Midi City, waitresses are able to make living wages because they are paid reasonably even without tips. You might make even more money as a barmaid, drunk people tend to tip more too.

(Nyuu) video | un: elfe
Yes, hello! I've just arrived. My name is Nyuu, and I like the sound of that idea. [Being in a new world, means she needs to start making new friends.] I can sing opera, and lately I've been considering on looking into the opera theatre here.
[This is something she's been considering since her days in Lunatia. She just has to get Lucy onboard with the idea as well.]
But in the meantime, for an actual job, I was going to do what I did before in the last world I was in. A lounge singer, so there's a suggestion. I'm afraid I don't know which places are currently hiring since I've only just arrived, but I was just going to ask around until I found a place.
video
[ This girl's cute, too! Not that Stella, head to toe in pink, has any sort of bias, though. Of course not. ]
I'm a singer too – not opera or anything like that, but opera's soooooo different, you've gotta have a totally different set of pipes for it, right?
[ She's rambling a bit, but she can't help it. Singing's fun! It's her favourite thing to do! ]
no subject
From what I understand, I believe so? I'm not a professional by any means. Back home, I was casually learning from a friend who was training to become an actual opera singer, but I'd still like to give it a try.
[Singing is also Nyuu's favorite thing to do!]
And you mentioned earlier that you're an idol, Stella-san? That's also really cool! I didn't follow any idol groups back home, but I did like the cute outfits they wore, and their singing was good too, of course.
[There were occasions when Nyuu would hear them on the radio, or in the department store, or from someone turning up their music in a passing car.]

I don't know what kind of jobs you can get but maybe you can ask them?
[He said with a small pause]
That's how I got my part time job working at the ranch. But I don't think you would want that if you're use to being an idol.
video
[ Stella makes one HELL of a stinkface. ]
Man. I'm sure it's fine for people who'd be into it but a ranch is definitely not for me. They'd fire me the instant I turned up for work. So I think that's out.
video
[He said with a shrug]
And you can probably entertain a few guests while you’re there too!
