So the snow came early this year, it looks like.

First time seeing this white thing we call snow? Don't panic. It's cold, but it's not dangerous.

If you're inside, just dress up warmly and make sure all your windows and doors are closed.

If you're outside, let people know so we can come help you back inside and into warmth. Well, those who aren't stuck inside that is as... I imagine a lot of us are.

Winter is nothing to be afraid of. You just need to adjust. Right clothes will make everything better. Trust me, I was raised in the middle of snow.

I can understand why you worry. Especially since I know one person who is from a desert and walks outside without a shirt on... I hope he will listen to advice and actually use a shirt now.

Or that he's prepared for frostbites.

Something's telling me likely not if that's the case. You should wear lightweight, long clothing in the desert to limit sun exposure.

Heat and cold are as bad as the other.

It's part of our military training. I was stationed in the frontlines of a desert for a year and anticipated returning there soon. I'm not as familiar with snow as you are.
