My name is Hanabi Hyuuga. I was thinking about everything that happened recently, with the Forest of the Felled, Celliwig and Lestari.

I think one way we could work to avoid things like that happening in the future would be for more of us to get used to working with each other. On quests, and just training together would be good, too. Then we'd be able to plan better, because we'd know how to work together and what each other could do.

[She's not sure of how this will go over, but it doesn't hurt to try.]

I've been trying to see if aspects of elemental magic work similarly to casting elements with Materia. I believe, overall, there's more variety with the magic here.

Not really. But I guess the former might be a little more pressing, huh?

[ After all, Minako can imagine that people who aren't good with fighting could probably fend off a pumpkin if they tried.

Having to deal with something like a headless horseman.. that seems a lot harder on regular people. ]

So we could do that. Are you used to fighting? [ The other looks a little too young to exactly be used to it.. but Minako knows that people from all sorts of worlds are drawn to this place, so she can't just judge by her own world's standards and she knows it. ]

I am. The Academy I go to prepares people for the military, and I've been training in martial arts for years. You don't have to worry about me slowing you down on a quest.

[She's not arrogant enough to think that she can go on quests like this all by herself, but she's confident enough in her skills to know that she can be useful.]

I think that was a big part of why things went the way that they did.

I can think of some ideas for training exercises. I think it would be important to have healers around since people can get injured sparring.

If it's training you're after, I run a dojo here for just that sort of thing. Master the martial arts! Learn philosophy, meditation, and the art of flowing like water! Kick things! Actually learn styles and techniques better suited to you than kicking things!

I know my clan's style and what I've learned at the Academy, but it couldn't hurt to learn new things. Do you teach people how to use weapons? I want to learn how to use a sword.

Certainly! Full disclosure, I'm most skilled with larger swords weighted towards the point for slashing, which I don't think is the sort you want to start with, but I'm familiar with other types as well.
