Wait... hold on just a tick. I don't know much about it, but there used to be an old Altean game that sounded something like this. I think Coran called it Monsters & Mana?

I don't see anything about a Lore Master, but it does appear to be a game of some sort. I believe someone called a Castle Keeper tells a story, and the players act it out.
