It was created with the benefits of humans in mind, so of course it's weighted unfairly.
But I suppose it's looked at like this...
Would you thank a sword for doing a good job? A polearm?
Though many are treated well, many are not. They were summoned to be weapons though admittedly are now more a symbol of status than anything else.
