Good day everyone!

[Today, Jane has her hair up in a high ponytail and is wearing a yellow sun dress with a blue cardigan. She looks excited.]

I'm very pleased to be able to say I've been able to verify my blog page, and I should be able to start posting very soon. It's going to be mostly focused around the native animals and other flora-- that is, zoology and cryptozoology-based. I'm looking forward to getting started.

[It was something she'd always wanted to do in the previous world she'd been stuck in but had never managed to get a footing with. It feels somehow more attainable here.]

I do have my own priorities of course, but in the interests of a potential audience, do any of you have any suggestions for creatures here that you'd want to know more about? I'd love to hear them.

Zoology is the study of animals. All animals, from the smallest little bugs to the largest mammals. Would you like to come along with me some time?

That’s really amazing to hear, Jane. I’m very glad that you decided to create a blog on the native animals here.

As for the creature suggestion, maybe I can suggest dust bunnies? I had to deal with several of them at the beginning of the year.

Isn't it so difficult to learn about them though?

I'm a zoologist! [Drawing is a passion, but animals are her life.]

And few things are too difficult if you put in the time and effort. I've had to study a great deal, but I've always loved animals.

Well...

[She supposes it doesn't exactly mean the same thing here, but even Avalon must have its own mysteries.]

Cryptozoology is the study of animals that aren't believed to really exist. At least, where I come from they don't really exist. Things are certainly different here.

It would be a little of both, I think!
I'm a zoologist by profession, but many creatures in Avalon lie outside my immediate area of expertise. It should be very illuminating to study them.

Oh, well, it's a website where someone records their thoughts or experiences. I'm going to use mine to post informal but informed research about the animals here.

[Hmmm, that query is a good one, but not quite Jane's area.]

But I'm afraid I'm not a botanist. That gives me an idea for guest articles, though!

What kind of creatures have you learned about here?

I have to admit I haven't put true thought into any of them yet, but there are many here to study. The fairies for one - there are several different types of fairies alone.

My familiar could help you research any marine or aquatic zoology. He's not usually interested in helping me out, but may like you well enough.

Oh, yes... the kraken would be a terribly interesting creature to study. [More difficult than most, given she has no way to allow herself to breathe under water and doesn't know how to sail, but surely she can come up with something...]
