You *found* him? I see. Well, it's good to know you have such an eye for talent.

[He honestly can't help but tease the poor lad but Regis means well. He knows what's it like to fall in love. In fact, he managed to fall in love twice during his long life.]

Here's hoping that your friend is safe and well. I cannot imagine how much he misses you.

I would be quite lonesome if my family and friends weren't here either, especially the Marshal.

And thus the band was formed. Though, does your band have an official name yet? I know it takes time to find the right name that bests suits everyone's tastes.

[At the mention of Cor, Regis finds himself fumbling with what to say about him.]

In some aspects, yes. In others...the Marshal my protector.

[Though, Clarus would certainly have something to say about that.]

[It actually is! Although it has some dark undertones but Uenoyama tries to help with those.]

Yes. Before Mafuyu, our vocalist, we were called "The Seasons" since the three of us, our bassist, drummer and I were born in 3 different seasons. When Mafuyu joined, we changed our name to "Given".

[All the fumbling, Ue gets that-]

Protector? Like a bodyguard? That must be tough, if he's also your friend.

[Oblivious kid that doesn't live on Eos is oblivious.]

"The Seasons" has a nice ring to it but why "Given"?

[It's painfully obvious that this lad doesn't hail from Eos. It must be nice being able to go outside without the threat of daemons or imperials. Regis doesn't know of such a life, especially since the Empire been stalking him for years.]

It can be at times but I can certainly protect myself well enough. Although, I don't mind his company. The Marshal was the youngest of my retinue. He joined the ranks of the Crownsguard at just the tender age of fifteen. I was twenty at the time and utterly dismayed by how well he fought in combat.

Still, I made it a point to keep him away from some of the more arduous battles even at the threat of angering him.

So in a sense, I was protecting him until suddenly...the roles reserved.

Mafuyu's guitar was given to him; it belong to someone who's not around anymore and he took it as a new beginning. So we decided to switch it to 'Given'. Something like a good luck charm I guess. A prayer for a good beginning?

[There is a LOT more behind that (death, relationship, family, etc.) but it's not Uenoyama's place to say.]

[He does not see. If anyone was to look at Uenoyama, it would be painfully obvious how hard he's trying to understand what he's reading. There's a deep frown between his brows as he keeps rereading that explanation.]

So you protect one another. That's not a bad solution to it.

I suppose the name change does make sense in that aspect.

[Not really but Regis doesn't want to say otherwise.]

That we do and I'm very fortunate to have him here with me.

[Although, he sometimes wonders if Cor ever regrets his decision to follow him. However, that's a conversation for another day and for someone else.]

So, what sort of gifts will you give your friends during the holidays?

[Uenoyama wouldn't be offended even if he did say. It is complicated, no matter how simple he tried to make it sound. It's not, he's aware of it.]

That's the thing, I'm not sure. At first, I had no ideas and now I have too many? But everyone seems to agree that homemade holiday snacks are a good thing to gift. Maybe I'll also compose something for him too

[Completely oblivious how much of a giveaway that is as to what kind of relationship he has with his vocalist]

Kaji-san would probably like new set of drums. Those are expensive but I work at the music shop now so I think I can come up with something

Haruki-san, I thought a good luck charm would be okay but not sure. Maybe it's too little?
