Hi everyone! Monika here~! I am here with two things today: an announcement regarding my new channel, and a request for all fellow technomages.
First off: I am now a social media influencer! Sort of, ahaha! Being verified doesn't give me more subscribers out of thin air. My channel is The Literature Corner! I will post three videos a week analyzing various literary genres and formats, recommending and reviewing books as well as recording audio books. On top of that, I'll read and comment on the poetry people send me, so please check my channel if you can.
I've put so much effort into it, that'd mean the world to me. I've linked my channel and my website with this video. I'm really looking forward to what will come from this...!
[ Link: The Literature Corner. ]
Now, onto technomancy! I've done some testing and found something amazing: did you know spells can be stored in like, your phone's mailbox? And then you can "open" it anytime. So like say a Technomancer send another Technomancer a fire spell, they'll be able to open the fire spell anytime even though they can't do fire magic on their own! That's like, so neat.
And I thought we could probably help each other by sharing spells. That's only for Technomancer, of course. But that's a great asset. I can send Cognitive spells to put in reserve if any of you need. I'd be happy to receive any sort of spells, but a stock of healing spells would be great.
Contact me if you'd like to share spells through technomancy, okay? Thanks!

[Because he doesn't have technomancy but being able to store spells seems...useful.]
I have healing magic but not technomancy. I haven't had the chance to practise combination magics with other people but it could be a useful experience.

In theory, a non-technomancer could manually open the spell and make use of it. [A pause.] I think it's worth testing!
no subject
[Though whether combining magic would work in this instance...well, he didn't know enough about technomancy to be sure, but it was worth trying, surely?]

Anyway, I'm totes down for spell trading once I... figure out what the hell I'm doing. That might take a little bit.

[Except better, much better. Imagine if "auto-run" type spells didn't need to be passed down from generation to generation through painful and politically fraught rituals involving mages' souls, but could just be downloaded! What the fuck! This is the first of Camelot's magic that Kadoc's heard of that actually sounds like a better deal than what he left behind, at least in principle. Not so much personally speaking.
But that aside, he wouldn't have responded just to be publicly envious. He's no technomancer. Sigh.]
. . . Anyway. That's just me sulking. More importantly, I'll subscribe to your channel. It sounds pretty cool.

[ A Monika never forgets a not!date. As for that non-technomancer possibility, the mods have the fate of all non-technomancers in their hands. ]
And yay, thank you! I'll have a special feature where I read poems from the viewers, three weeks from now. It'd be cool if I had one of yours to read.

[He's never tried turning his pen to anything artistic before, at least definitely not in any seriousness—just some emo teenaged song lyrics in the margins of his notes, which is an embarrassing thing to recall right now, and his expression briefly looks as cringe as he feels about it. But then it smoothes out:]
But I am still up for buying you a drink. I won't go back on that.

Um, if that's okay, could you text me like a bunch of healing spells? I think having a folder filled with healing spells would be super useful! [She raised a finger.] I can send you some cognitive spells in return if you'd like. Like, um, psychic attacks?

When he does finally say something, his voice is very low and quiet, breathy. He speaks slowly, with a countrified accent.]
G-good morrow... Miss Monika-san. Well met.
[Here he bows carefully.]
I.... healing spell. Have. I have one.
Don't mind sharing.

[ She was speaking in a reassuring tone. She figured he might be shy, rather than unsure about the new technology. ]
What's your name? And you don't need to use titles, you know. Just Monika is totally fine.
[ Miss Monika had a really weird sound to it... Like she was a teacher or something. The honorific, she didn't mind one way or the other. She'd noticed a few people using Japanese honorifics... Considering all of their languages were being universally translated, it made sense. There were no exact equivalencies for them in English, right? ]

You're an influencer?! Monika-chan, that's so great!
[ There's a pause.
Like, a few good moments' worth of pause. ]
.. what's an influencer? [ Minako is too 90's for this. ]

[ She didn't know...? Oh, she probably came from a time before the internet, huh? ]
Oh, that's just what they call people who get paid for the social media content they produce. [She didn't particularly care for money, but she needed it to get more cute clothes and a good house.] I can't say I'm really much an influencer ahaha. That's more accurate for people who got like, millions of subscribers.

[ And she's definitely got a new subscriber. ]
I did learn that I could send spells through the devices, but I didn't know that you could store them as well! That's fascinating! I'd love to give that a try.
no subject
[ Good, and don't forget to smash that like button-- Okay no, she won't say that. ]
Hm-mm! I've done some more testing, I think storing spells does drain a bit of energy. But like, say you're at 100%, storing a spell puts you at 98-97%. [She raised a finger.] So if we store a couple, that's barely noticeable. But if we try to store dozens, we may start feeling sluggish and tired.
[ So basically still crazy useful, just not limitless. ]

Uhm... I haven't really read a lot of books, but it sounds like a really nice idea to hear about the books that people like.
( He's not so sure if he can share spells... He's sort of still trying to get the hang of his own magic. )

[ Maybe they could train together, sometimes. Monika was still so very new with her magic. ]
Hm-mm! It's impossible to read everything, so hearing other's opinions is sometimes the only way to know what books to pick up for yourself. Is there anything you'd like to see for the first audio book? I can try picking up one you'd enjoy.
